Wonder how Livi fans view this, normally when a manager leaves a team it's down to failure, not success, and you expect some sort of bounce effect from the shock of that happening. Goodwin, however, has left down to the good work he's done. This isn't a team looking for a reaction, yet it is a team that is in winning form.

I mean, I still expect us to win this game, we have been playing well and even if Goodwin is gone, the team obviously remains, and they have been preparing for this game as "normal" so (presumably) any changes to style or substance will happen in the following weeks.

It is, of course, possible this has unsettled us, but after reading Langfield's comments it doesn't sound like it has.

So have we, think we are both in good form and it would've been a coin toss even with Goodwin still here. Hoping this has unsettled your players a bit though, and gives us an edge. As you say, he's left after being a success, and no doubt that has to have been a distraction in the build up, rather than giving them a boost to perform for a new manager in that sort of bounce, it'll have left some feeling a bit flat. That's my wishful take anyway.

Our main concern is if the ref's any good, last 2 games we've played he's been decent, 2 before were absolute garbage card happy c***s.

Yeah, a sensible ref is necessary, after all your players struggle with gravity at times.. ;)

Joking aside, you are right it has to be a distraction, you'd hope as our side is filled with veteran players in Shaughnessy, Tait, Power, etc that their experience will help calm the waters. It'll be interesting to see what affect this has, as you know yourself it could be as much a bounce as a lack of enthusiasm.

That's been the problem with our opposition in some games, Aberdeen & St Johnstone, and the ref loving getting his cards out. Though tbf Anderson doesn't take much on him to fall down, wonder what former team he was with to get that habit from.

Aw f**k it's Wullie Collum, could go either way with him, sometimes he is the complete opposite from his norm, and refuses to get any cards out no matter what goes on, mostly though his reputation is well deserved.

For a 0-0 without too many chances then it’s been a reasonable quality game. Both teams are putting some good stuff together in the final 3rd, lots of nice passes being put together. If both teams play like this for the rest of the season then we’ll both make the top 6.

Nouble and Penrice look as if they’ve got some good synergy going on down the left. Soto for Anderson after an hour plz, let’s see what this sexy b*****d can do

HT 0-0
Yeah going as expected, nothing in the game. Home side have probably edged it, they’ve had a couple of half chances but Alnwick not been tested.
Livi are a good team. Forrest, Omeonga and Anderson are all fine players and they’re causing us problems. Greive not getting much joy against Obileye so far either.
Defensively we’ve been solid though, Shaughnessy and Dunne have been their usual dominant selves and have been our best players.
Not seen enough of Ronan, Jones or Kiltie. Need to try and get them more involved second half to get more of an attacking threat. Still, 0-0 FT is the likeliest outcome.
Good laugh at the end of the half there when play rightly got stopped after a head knock to Greive.
Consensus among the commentators and home crowd seemed to be that Livingston should have been allowed to play on as they were on the attack. That’s not how it works I’m afraid [emoji16]
