stan3600
Best performance in over a month. I think not only getting Nicky back in the team but also Craigen gives us a bit more composure in midfield.

clashcityrocker
Great 2nd half performance from Arbroath - probably the best we have played in sometime. Ayr had several good chances in the first 45 mins, but this was matched by some very good defending from Arbroath ( especially Ricky Little who was my MOTM). Arbroath looking like a team who are determined to take this all the way. Well done to all the players for putting in a great shift.
Estragon
Fair play to Arbroath by the way, that's a phenomenal result under the circumstances. Didn't give it a chance. The run-in runs on....
Oceanlineayr
Terrible 2nd half from Ayr. Too often the decision making behind Bullen's choice of substitions defies logic, today was easily one of the prime examples. Arbroath easily the deserving winners overall. A vast improvement from them in the 2nd half and looked very comfortable once they got their goal.

keptie
Lichties back on it so much better today especially second half, Nicky Low making it look easy again. Ayr with the stiff breeze edged the first half but second half we dominated and a deserved win. Keep it going Lichties.
diegomarahenry
I am kind of glad in a way that we played Arbroath today rather than later in the season. we can now hope that Arbroath win all their remaining games to do us and them a favour

Ayr had some pressure in the first half without really looking like scoring but in the second half it was all Arbroath. Goes to show how poor we are when missing a couple of key players. I hope Arbroath go on to win all their remaining games, and the league. You certainly deserve it.
SotesBornalichtie
It was very much the cliched "game of two halves". Ayr were on top for the first half but for all their possession and pressure only had one decent attempt that Antell blocked with his feet. He didn't have another save to make for the rest of the game. We were on top in the second half and Jack Hamilton's header from a McKenna corner won the game. We pressed but couldn't get a second goal. Ayr's Ashford was sent off for an over the ball tackle on Jason Thomson about 15 mins from the end of the game and by that time it was obvious that the game was won. A better performance (second half) than we've had for a while that keeps us comfortably in second place in the league.
Tattie36
Excellent second half. Much more like how we played earlier in the season and should have scored another one or two - the two on one near the end and Ricky Little’s header being the clearest chances but a few other decent ones too. Thought Little, Low and Craigen were our standout players but a few others played well. Best game (second half anyway) from McKenna in a good while and Donnelly did well when he came on. Hamilton really needed that goal, should do his confidence the world of good, you could see he was lacking confidence with his chance in the first half where he had two chances to shoot but delayed and allowed the defended to get a block in. Very happy tonight.

Very happy tonight. If Nicky can stay fit, we shouldn't finish worse than 2nd, much better shape about the team today, happy for big Hammy on getting his goal, still not convinced him and Wighton are a combination that works, for the next game I would bring Stewart in for Wighton, he can play on the right with McKenna up with Hamilton

Still, a very decent contribution today.
