Poor penalty to give away from Sang. Very few saints pass marks really and we will have to show much more desire in the next five games. PauloPerth Posted April 9, 2022 Share Posted April 9, 2022 I realise it’s an old fashioned viewpoint for many, but when you’re playing a team with far better players, you have to attempt to knock them out their rhythm and wind them up a bit; foul them, break play up etc, in addition to being well organised. We’re in the middle of a relegation fight, got pumped 7-0, with only 16% possession, yet only gave away 5 fouls. 2 more than an opponent who had the ball for 84 % of the ‘contest’. And we received no yellow cards. Celtic got to play that like a high tempo training session, never once having to look over their shoulder at a hard challenge flying in. We’d have lost anyway, but we were so meek and respectful of our opponent it was frightening. For a manager who loved a tackle and was a hard player, it’s quite surprising to see.
