The way Miller is behaving online would get you sacked or disciplined from any other place of employment, football club or not. Just shows what an absolute shambles the setup at Darvel is when hes basically give free reign to call people paedophiles and challenge them to fights. As a previous post stated on this thread however, these players know they can get away with things like this and attending stag doos during the season. "Mick" won't be sacked either. Hes one half of the cash cow so he leaves so does a lot of money and he'll take his neddy pals with him to the next desperate skint club open for business. Sustainable eh.

Kennedy is a weak manager. Ross Perry took them for the mugs that they are and then we have had the latest antics

is it true tranent had a player over the age of 50 ? yesterday

if so will he miss an important game next season as he is on a saga holiday

Doubt it very much, but if so, why even bringing it up. Saw a few laughable remarked on twitter saying as Auchinleck beat Bonnyrigg in last weekend’s cup final; Darvel would just need to turn up against Tranent and promotion was theirs. Granted in past 10 or so years, the West ‘Juniors’ have been on the whole superior to teams in the East, but for 2-3 years there was no real gauge to this as most East clubs were no longer involved in Junior Cup Finals.

But since moving over to EoS there has been huge transformation in a number of on-field personnel and off-field progress in lots of grounds. This was only achievable. By moving to EoS set up and seeing the potential for clubs who want to progress through the pyramid scheme.

Much better if Lowland League / teams get their voting fingers out their erses and start at least 2 automatic regulations per season, as West/East Premier league winners should get automatic promotion. But if LL stick to their guns, stop assuming that in a one-off match that West teams will always come out top. Ain’t gonna be so one-sided these days as Saturday showed.

Aye despite darvel circus and anomaly the west is most definitely better quality than east and with depth.

Sorry.

Collectively, taking all teams in EoS League you probably are correct. However taking top teams into account since the switch over to EoS and WoS you have got absolutely nothing to back up your stance.

Prime object for the bigger clubs is promotion to LL and beyond. Only one match to count on and Tranent came into your backyard on Saturday and won the bragging points and the promotion.

Mock Darvel all you want, but after 38 matches they were the West Premier League champions who got beat by a better team on the day from the East.

Sorry, not sorry.

Sorry.

The West should now be significantly stronger depth wise than the East, given that Kelty, Bonnyrigg, Bo'ness and Tranent have already shown the level of foresight and commitment to progress to the LL or beyond. The best of the rest from the East currently lies with Linlithgow Rose, Penicuik Athletic and Jeanfield Swifts.  Linlithgow beat LL side Gala Fairydean Rovers in an East Cup Final earlier today, so the ability to compete at LL level is already there.

It's now up to the West clubs to show the same desire and ability to make similar steps up the pyramid.  If they fail to do so, it won't be the East's fault.

Darvel will be back next season once Kennedy and Gall hoover up the talent with their open chequebook mentality. The only thing Gall got out of Saturday's result is it gives him another season thinking Talbot and Darvel are rivals.

I was at the darvel game and I thought darvel would be absolute certainties to win this game but if you don t play on the day and the other team comes with more self belief then your beat. I'm not buying into that any team of individuals would deliberately turn up and not try because they didn't want to get promoted any player will tell you when they go into the pitch they always play to win and to my surprise tranent were the better team on the day and congratulations to them. The West top teams in my opinion are still stronger and better than the East but this season because our top teams played 38 league games most were knackered and that showed on Saturday with darvel. Now as another East team moves into the lowland most of their top sides are up and progressing even further so that now only leaves linlithgow and maybe 2others that could potentially go up . Here in the West we have talbot, darvel, pollok, buffs, medda and clydebank waiting and wanting to go up and in the present from its could take another 8 years minimum before you could see all these teams to go level 5 .

That's because Kelty and Bonnyrigg are already in League One and Two respectively, and Bo'ness United and Tranent in the LL.

Take out Talbot, Darvel, Clydebank and Pollok and suddenly the depth in the WoS isn't that much deeper than the EoS.

If the play-off remains, the WoS should win it more often than they lose it for the next three or four years.

Tranent played 34 league games, not sure 4 extra games over the course of 9 months makes that much of a difference.

Sorry I didn't know that but tranent looked a lot fitter and sharper and fully deserved their win.

You have just totally dismissed the south league in the way the west do the east, as you claim they do. The south league have as much right to promotion to LL as easy/west do. I'm in total agreement that the trap door needs opened up, but it should be all 3 winners going up.

34 league games, 4 league cup group games and still in the knockout stage, Scottish, SCC, and Qualifying Cup.

Title went to the last day so you can't argue they were taking it easy in the run up as they couldn't afford to slip up.

Plus still in the League Cup so season still isn't over for them.

It's not quite the same. How many South wins over WoS Premier/EoS Premier teams can be pointed at?

There's a reason why Threave Rovers are meant to be applying to the WoSFL.

It's irrelevant whether there's a gulf or not. They have an entitlement within the pyramid to be promoted within the same rules as the other two regions

Perhaps it might be better trying to make small inroads rather than a full on assault.

1 automatic relegation from the LL,.

4 way play-off involving the 3 tier 6 winners and the 2nd bottom in the LL.

Top 2 get promoted.

This might be more palatable to the clubs in the Lowland.

I like that idea. Something has to give

Big difference between what a money man chairman and manager want and what players want.  Numerous pieces of evidence point exactly to that.

Winning the league and bragging rights were all that mattered a playoff and west cup were side shows.

The players don't go up. The Club does.

If players don't want to play in the Lowland League they can be released.
