There was a coo

I was hoping we could avoid the drop obviously. However I feel this was inevitable considering our financial situation at the moment. We can now reset and go again. I’ll be renewing my season ticket as soon as and look forward to playing old foes like Shire and Berwick and lots of new rivals. Bring it on.

Yes, let’s be positive, just got to get on with it, nothing else for it.

Looking forward to it now, though a little worried how player recruitment will go.

I read on the Central Fife Times website that the parachute payment is £40k, so hope that goes some way to assembling a competitive squad:

Tier 4 is gone so embrace the Lowland League where there's some good players and teams. Sure the Cowdenbeath fans will have a blast after last seasons disappointment.

Not what I would have wanted Dave but we have got to make the most of it.

A lot of new places and teams to see for most of our fans.

Only two new grounds for me however Caledonian Braves and Tranent.

Don’t know how I’ve never been at Tranent been at most others in the East 😀

I’ll probably get the bus down from the city centre.

The 113 would be the best for that I reckon.

Wonder what they will do with the £40K parachute payment.

PLAN A- Spend it all in year 1 and try and bounce back up.

PLAN B- Use it over several seasons to soften the fall

I thought that had stopped ?

PLAN C- Blow it all on pre season training at La Manga.

Guess it depends on the state of their bank balance and whether they ran at a loss in recent seasons. Doubt the parachute payment goes far for Club 42 when there are debts to cover. Hopefully unlike last season they'll experience being the second best club in their division that play in blue and have a ground that sits on old mine workings. If Shire fans are anything to go by they'll soon adjust and enjoy following their club at this level.

No still get it.

aye, 40k year 1 and 20k year 2 I believe. I have no doubt whatsoever the club will use it appropriately.

Didn’t realise there was a payment in year 2 as well, that’s good.

Do we still get it if we went straight back up? 😉

You wouldn’t. You would be back in the SPFL and revert to L2 payments.

Darvel fucking it surely a boost for the Blue Brazil, Tranent won’t have the same level of cash to throw about.  Possibly an open league next year that the ex SPFL teams might fancy their chances in. Best of luck lads relegation is always shite but at least there’s new towns and grounds to visit.
