Craig fae the Vale
Dalry Thistle 2-2 Vale of Leven. Came from behind twice in horrible conditions to secure a good and valuable point in the road.
bc57
EK 0 Lanark 7 Much less wasteful in front of goal today. EK started brightly, nothing between the teams in first 15 minutes but then 3 goals in 13 minutes knocked the stuffing out of them. Went in 4 up at half time. EK gave it a real go in first 5 minutes of 2nd half but we scored our 5th on 51 mins and that was that. Game finished on a very unsavoury note when EK CB unnecessarily barged John Cunningham in the back as the ball was going out of play, knocking him into the metal railing surrounding the pitch. He suffered a bad facial injury that required 11 stitches and is being checked for concussion. A horrible incident that could have been worse. Ref played exactly one minute of injury time, despite the long delay whilst he was being treated and both sides using all their subs. A wise decision , given the prevailing mood.

bc57
Great point for Newmains at the weekend and an excellent win for Finnart against in for Irvine Vics. Helps keep things interesting at the top of the table. Still a long way to go.
Craig fae the Vale
Vale of Clyde 2-1 Vale of Leven Not much in the game but ultimately we just didn't create enough. Disappointed not to take a point, but we move into next week and our first home game in 7 weeks.
Father Ted
Saltcoats Vics 2 Lesmahagow 4 Gow should have scored more. Vics down to ten men after 75 minutes, straight red. Vics battled away well despite being behind throughout the game. With a few minutes to go Vics we're awarded a very soft penalty to make it 4-2

bc57
A workmanlike performance sees us go top, with a long way still to go. Kello keeper had one (fortunate) save. Our keeper had none. We also hit the bar . Got to grind them out sometimes

How's the park doing now since the damage? Did you get it all back together again?

I suggest that is very subjective at the best of times. he id play very well, cross balls, distribution etc but did not require to be spectacular. On a general point, he has made a big difference to us since he arrived and it is no coincidence that we are conceding far fewer goals.

Craig fae the Vale
Vale of Leven 4-1 Carluke Rovers. In what was arguably our most important game of the season so far the boys turned in a magnificent, season's best performance to pick up a very valuable three points. Excellent to see three of our under 20s players feature today, with one getting himself on the scoresheet. Excellent Saturday.

Lanark are a good side, but the Jags have now won both fixtures deservedly. We now need to win our games in hand after our Cup run.
