Lyle is also a great penalty taker too. Never had any worries if awarded one and he was on the pitch. Over his career: 13 Successful penalties/0 Misses.

Have we only been awarded one this season?

Obviously penalty shootouts don't count in these stats but I'm sure he missed at Ibrox in the challenge cup win a few years ago.

He did, he hit the bar. He also missed in the shootout FOR Dundee against us in the Scottish Cup in the famous BJ Corr incident!

Would find it strange, in standard today both Hamill and Dowie getting praised for being superb Saturday and since he came in...

I've also thought the rumour of Hamill going a bit odd. Hes been one of our better, or at least most consistent, performers this season and, as Naysmith has said, he's the only right back we have.

Naysmith has also said that he's looking to increase the squad and provide competition, which would seem more likely than Hamill leaving

Sam Wardrop is a right back from Celtic we are targeting on loan. Cant say I know anything about him

Right winger turned centre back turned right back. Very quick and likes to get up and down line. Don't think we'll get him though.

Largely true.

At the latest time he joined us, I think plenty fans envisaged him as something of a bit part player, especially when Baird came on board.

He has however been really important and probably at his best, in this spell.

He has played under 5 managers and he's managed to stay relevant through all of them and has managed to get more prolific as he's gotten older as well. In the first season back in the Championship, he seemed a bit of a flat track bully only scoring against lesser teams but he then started scored some huge goals against Falkirk, Rangers, St Johnstone in that 4th place season. The man also fell through a coffee table to help us reach Hampden so nothing but respect for the man.

The coffee table incident was the 'Hall of Fame' clincher in my view.
