Homer Thompson
He's really not. St Mirren-didn't playAyr-15 minutes Raith-1 minuteFalkirk-9 minutes And before that he hadn't played since the end of October, his only goal coming in August. I'd imagine we're waiting to see what happens with Farid, as well as that would Hearts take him back to loan him out? The only chance we have of that is if someone is willing to mirror how much we are paying into Reillys wage. For example would Hearts cancel his loan with us if we were paying 100% of his wages to loan him out to another team paying half?75?.We're stuck with for now sadly. Edited to add:- We would benefit from having his wages to put towards a player who might offer something? As well as potentially weakening another divisional rival if he keeps up this form. That's certainly less than I thought, but he's been in the squad every week when fit, has he not? As you say, it's more likely to come down to wages than anything else.
HoBNob
I think he has, I'd be lying if I said I had noticed or remembered otherwise. It's a shame because he doesn't seem to be enjoying being here atm but he's pretty locked into staying here till the end of the season, he seems like a good guy so I hope he can kick start his career somewhere.
Doonhamer doon south
Pickard can go for me but would keep Moxon send him out on loan.Think Airdrie are interested in Anderson would let him go. Anderson always gives 100 % but you need a bit of skill to go with your 100% Anderson lacks that. Moxon is a young player that we should maybe look to loan out but certainly keep on our books and keep his development going. Anderson is a tough one but I think he will be a good squad player and still has role to play this season and next season. I think the squad now doesn't really need to be tinkered with too much. If there a great deal out there fine but otherwise I think we got a squad capable of keeping us in this league as a minimum.
Rjc-1988
Anderson was one of our best players early on but he always struck me as a very Skelton-esque winger - tall, strong(ish), works hard but doesnt have great pace or skill. He's also looked like a player who thinks hes lost a yard of pace since he was injured. I've no idea if he actually has but he plays like he thinks he has. It looks like Locke prefers pacy, skillful wingers so I wouldnt be surprised to see Anderson go. Brotherston has looked ok, but nothing more. Compare him to Thomas or the wingers at St Mirren, for example, and he looks way off that standard, unfortunately. Moxon would be a surprise, given hes been in the squad and praised by Naysmith. Pickards problem, I think, is that he doesnt really have a position. Hes quite versatile but hes ok, at best, wherever he plays. Again, compare him, or Moxon, to Thomson or Magennis at St Mirren and theyre well below that standard too. Agree with this.I am warming to Naysmith - much kinder to be upfront with these young players now than string them along. When you see the ability of Thomas which is still not getting him a regular start at M'well and compare his talent with say Brotherston, Moxon and in particular Pickard it is night and day. Thomson is also miles ahead of these players. There is no point in us keeping young players that are only ever going to be bit part players - better for them to go and find a club where they can play regularly and try and prove Queens wrong.

I tend to agree. It's easy to overlook how difficult it must be to play in Scotland's second tier. Much as we bemoan the standard, there are only a few hundred players in the entire country capable of earning a full-time living out of playing football. It's asking a lot of these guys that they're quite there. Some occasionally are, but most aren't. I've no problem with bringing in people on loan. The reality is that these guys should be playing professional football for someone, because they're good enough. Capping squad sizes would allow it to play out more naturally.
Skyline Drifter
Updated Scorers List as Dobs takes his tally for the season up to 18 He has moved past Jackie Law and now only one goal behind Billy Houliston. He scored 23 goals in 08/09, his best season with us, including 10 in his last 6 appearances. That must be under threat. 20 - Willie Dougan (65) 19 - Jimmy Rutherford (66) 18 - Lex Law (68) 17 - John O'Neill (70) 16 - Jackie Law (71)15 - Stephen Dobbie (73) 14 - Billy Houliston (74) 13 - Rowan Alexander (78) 12 - Iain McChesney (79) 11 - Jackie Oakes (81) 10 - Jimmy Robertson (89) 9 - Ian Reid (89) 8 - Tommy McCall (93) 7 - Stevie Mallan (94) 6 - Tommy Bryce (95) 5 - Jocky Dempster (98)4 - Derek Lyle (105) 3 - Andy Thomson (114) 2 - Bobby Black (120) 1 - Jim Patterson (251)
Priti priti priti Patel
To add to that, Dobbie scored 9 goals in his first 10 games for us during that blistering start. It all then went pearshaped after the Rangers match. Dobbie has now scored 8 goals in his last 10 games. If we can tighten the defence, then the rest of the season looks like coming up Milhouse.
SUPERSOUTH
We are certainly looking very good going forward 6 goals and numerous other chances in last two games proves that, defence is very young and inexperienced but the longer they play together the better it'll get. Midfield to Front is very strong.
Sloop John B
Fun Fact: In two games, Joe Thomson has managed to outscore the rest of the CM's we have had in the league by 2 to 1 and is 2/3rds of the way towards passing Mark Millar's all time Queen of the South goal tally. Pitched straight in as Hamill hadnt trained all week due to illness. Looked a little nervy first 15 mins but grew into the game and did fine after that. With Hamill suspended next week he will no doubt keep his place.
WILLIEA
Worth noting in that list of top scorers that Ches played as a full back pretty much his entire career. Great effort!

Chances are you may have won a watch here, Scott is what you would call a "cultured" fullback, very rarely will you see him hump it up the park, he likes to move with the ball at his feet and is more than capable of taking people on and bringing others into play, comfortable on either side of the park at the back or in wide midfield!!! I would like to think that moving up a division against better teams and away from Airdrie and Peterhead type cloggers you would see him getting more time during a game to express these skills and really show what he can do!!! Good luck to the lad!!! Any idea how much you paid, says in the press a "five figure sum", was it 10,000 or 99,999 or even 100.01???

coo shedder
I remember Ches playing most of the time as an old style 'left half'.
