I take it if Marvin offered to resign that no compensation would be due as he's basically terminated his contract. I think if we're still struggling at the halfway point they'll look at it again.

Why would he offer to resign?
I can’t recall any other manager doing that. Sounds like a made up story.

Lives to fight another day. Couldn’t make it today but sounds better…

Easily our best home performance this season .

Every player played their  part stand outs were Connolly Ferguson.

McIntyre deserves a special mention he had easily his best game for us actually looked like a player today.

Only down side Reilly who was having a good game went off injured he really is our only goal threat  his replacement Hutchinson just does not have goals in him .

We must get this level of performance every week my only worry is where will the goals come from

I wasn't there today, did Reilly's injury look bad?  I'm not sure if Doherty is out for a while, but it is concerning if we're down to just Hutchinson as a CF, I agree.

Plenty of ex-Queens players amongst the goals today elsewhere:

Sam Folarin (2), Aidan Fitzpatrick (2), Ruari Paton, Kevin Holt, Nikolay Todorov, Aidan Smith, Ally Roy, Michael Ruth, Stuart Morrison, even Niyah "Bloody" Joseph.

No, not really, I hope. He was challenging for the ball near the halfway line and took a swing and a miss, connecting with the Falkirk player instead of the ball and being rewarded with a booking. He looked hurt, but continued for about 4 or 5 minutes before going down for treatment.

Reilly was out for a month with a knee injury I hope he hasn't aggravated it again.

Reilly injury did look bad he actually hurt himself fouling a player which he got booked for .

He tried to run it off but he was limping no way he could go on .

Hutchinson offered nothing a real worry if he is our only option up top.

I would try Walker up top with his pace .

The worry now is that Man City move for him when Pep's feet get itchy.

Fortunately, we've got him tied into an extended contract ... that should keep Sheikh Mansour at bay ...

Sitting here this morning mulling over yesterdays proceedings got me wondering what kind of training regime we have?  Houston, Church, Doherty and Cochrane all out injured yesterday. Yes Cochrane went off injured last week but the other 3 all looked fine at the end of the match so I wonder what kind of training sessions we have during the week?

It's been baffling for a few seasons now imo, we seem to pick up more injuries at training than in competitive matches. Not sure if stats actually back this up mind.

You'll be pleased to hear MB has addressed your question in his interview.

It has crossed my mind that it may be an affect of playing and training almost exclusively on plastic pitches these days, especially when it comes to the number of hamstring strains we have been seeing, but even if that is the case it doesn't explain how our players seem to be more susceptible to picking up injuries than those at other clubs.

Cochrane apparently injured his back at lunch after training. Must have been a heavy lunch.

Footballers and food seems to a be a recipe for disaster.

(See what I did there?) 😉

Kirk Broadfoot and microwaves, Dave Beasant and salad cream, Jari Litmanen and ringpulls...

Then if the food is served on a glass table there is the additional risk of Derek Lyle falling through it.

I like it!

I'm tempted to ask for more detail around the Dave Beasant salad cream job, but I'm fearful that might lead somewhere unpleasant for an innocent Sunday morning ...!

All perfectly innocent!

Despite being a goalkeeper, he dropped a bottle of salad cream, tried to do a keepie-uppie as the bottle fell and severed a tendon in his toe 😬

I doubt it was food being served on Lyle's glass table...
