WILLIEA
I remember a young black keeper by the name of Alex Williams in the early 80's coming in on loan from Manchester City. He played in their first team for a few seasons after that. I am sure Jimmy Rimmer of Aston Villa rocked up for a couple of games too. However, nobody else seems to remember that so I may be imagining it. Remember Williams but not Rimmer

This was well after his most infamous display for Man City when he fumbled a late cross against Luton, allowing Radi Antic who went on to manage Real Madrid, to score and relegate City, bringing David Pleat dancing across the field. Williams also played at Palmerston in Ball's 1984 testimonial.
Monkey Tennis
Queens players with FA Cup winner's medals? I can think of a fairly obvious one straight off, but there'll.be others from further back I would think.

Monkey Tennis
Dick Malone That's the one I had in mind. I remember that he didn't wear the same shorts as everyone else at Queens, presumably because they were a little snug.
Monkey Tennis
Future manager Ally McLeod had a loser' s medal from 1960, the same game that ended the career of the owner of the current FA Cup holders.
Distant Doonhamer
There`s definitely at least one more FA cup winner who also played for QOS. Pre-dates the others mentioned so far.

Distant Doonhamer
Ivor Broadis? No. He was at Newcastle when they won it but didn`t play in the final. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivor_Broadis The other one I know of was at Newcastle but much earlier than Broadis was. die hard doonhamer
Hughie Gallacher? He wouldn't have played with us when (if?) he had a medal, as he started out with us. Edited March 3, 2014 by die hard doonhamer
Distant Doonhamer
Hughie Gallacher? He wouldn't have played with us when (if?) he had a medal, as he started out with us. Not him. Don`t know if he did win FA Cup at any stage.

Skyline Drifter
George Farm has an FA Cup winners medal does he not? Was he not the Blackpool goalkeeper in the "Matthews Final"? EDITED - Oops posted before I noticed Distant Doonhamer already named him. Warren Hawke is another one with a Runners Up medal.
