All 3 have put in some good performances recently and depending on what their pay demands are, could be useful next season. I belive all three have about 5 more days of their current contracts. Paton's court trial has been delayed so no idea what will happen with him.

Whether he should have been playing the last few months is a question I'm not sure I have the answer to, but actively offering him a new contract while the charges remain outstanding feels like it would be a step too far IMO. Story here: Canadian-born Ross County Football Club player Harry Paton (23) has trial over allegations of abusing and assaulting former partner deferred (ross-shirejournal.co.uk)
Rcfc fan
Surely a reasonable agreement can be reached like he signs a new contract that has a clause in it if he’s found guilty he can be released with no pay off by the club , need to treat people as innocent until proven guilty

Or closer to home where ICT booted Gardyne for being a deviant. Anyway, Uncle Roy will no doubt go down the progressive rehabilitation route regardless of the outcome so it's not even worth discussing.
morrison
The obvious answer is not to offer such a player a contract at all, but it's a football decision so that makes it okay then.
central staggie
The football decision should probably be not to offer him a new contract in any case. Edited to add - Scotsman (gossip column on BBC site) stating that Cookie is definitely leaving. Nothing we don't already know although I've not seen it confirmed anywhere else. Comrie
Apparently Cookie has rejected a contract. We'll see him rocking up at Fleetwood or someone similar soon.
forkboy
Going to be fun trying to replace Cookie, Hungbo & Spittal all at once. And by fun i mean nigh impossible

Taking Vokins into the equation - and potentially Iacovitti as well - that's half the starting XI that's going to need replaced. 10 players leaving this summer according to MM's end of season interview, 6 loanees + Cookie, Donaldson and Spittal would leave one more from Iacovitti/Paton/Cancola? That's assuming that number hasn't risen, of course.

I think with the success both we as a team & individual on loan to us have had can only strengthen our hand when approaching players. We've got a good core to build from and an attacking style that has already been established within that core.

Still have to replace our top 3 goalscorers from this season. 25 of the 47 goals scored in the league. Goals aren't easy to replace on the budget County have, nevermind adding in the issue of location. No point pretending that won't be tricky.
Sensible Soccer🏴
I'd hope Josh Simms would be one of those replacements
Comrie
No news on a lot of the players who hadn't agreed to extensions/new deals as of yet, which is pretty worrying unless the club do a huge roll out on the 1st.
