Spain
Taking bias into account, on current form it's not unrealistic to think that County could win 5/6 home games (which includes two derby games). However away trips to Celtic, Motherwell and St. Johnstone might make breaking into the top six too much of an ask. Still, I'll be delighted if the club finishes above 10th. I'd have had Celtic and Motherwell down as losses and St. Johnstone as a draw. That would leave us needing to (for example) beat all 5 other bottom 6 clubs over the coming weeks and then pick up 4 points from 2x ICT and Aberdeen. It's not impossible, but it is a very, very big ask. And at the end of the day, we're not world beaters, we're just on a good run of 10 points out of the last 12.
Les Westander of County
jinxity-jinx! I hope Hertz don't bring us back down to Earth. Cloud 9 is lovely up here.

StoneThrowAway
Word on twitter Tom Hateley? Any truth or mere speculation? Would be another outstanding signing if true!!
bunglebonce
He's an OK player, is he any better than Kovacevic or Miller at their best? I'm not convinced. County don't need a set piece specialist who coasts through games and who would rather be elsewhere. He'd also be on huge wages (I remember being astounded that a player of his calibre got an alleged 2k p/w at Motherwell), but then so will the rest of the new players. County do need another right-back and he would be a good player, but I don't think he would be a long term fit for the club.
Staggie_93
Sad to see Swiss Mick go, he was probably my favorite player last season and one of the best right backs in the league. However, he's not been the same this season and didn't look interested alot of the time. Definitely a need for a new right back now though, Saunders can't be relied on and Ben Gordon isn't a right back, and I also doubt Micic is a footballer. I can imagine the management have a few replacements lined up, as he's been away for a good while now.
Capital_stag
I think personal issues have affected Kova this season. Hopefully it works out for him, and he can be close to his ill father. Kova the man that nailed Scott Brown in the best tackle I have seen, and the strip release photo where he left little to the imagination. All the best big man
forkboy
Yeah, he was a great player last year & I'm just a wee bit sad to see him go. Understandable though with his father so ill, & probably for the best. Ben Gordon looked already at right back, but I do worry a little if he's the long-term solution.

stag317
You just don't see enough tackles and banter like that nowadays! Football growing up was definitely a lot more physical.....and fun! Bye bye Kova!

deldad7
There's also the corker last season which led to a hospital trip for James Dayton. Never forget the sound of that collision.

Spain
A County legend will be back in some form in January. Only clue I can say at the moment... And finally, it's confirmed. Scott Ferries, son of the legendary Billy has signed today after leaving Aberdeen. Edit: In other news, Stevie Ross is off to Brora for the rest of the season on Loan. Good move for him, needs more game time. Edited January 31, 2014 by Spain

Sorry for the anti-climax fellow County fans, I know you were hoping for Hainault but I didn't want to say who it was for this transfer. Happy for him plus it will strengthen the U20 team. He rejected Celtic a couple seasons ago and had a trial at Man Utd I think as well as being capped at Scotland Youth level.Barry Wilson apparently wanted to take Stevie to Elgin but Brora were willing to pay a lot more of his wages. Either way game time is the main thing. Edited January 31, 2014 by staggy4life
bunglebonce
Marc Klok is on his way to Peterhead, presumably for the season but if Dean Cowie is only out for six weeks then maybe until the end of March. It's a terrific chance to get him involved with the rough and tumble while getting time to get some first team experience. His vision and awareness are probably only matched by Colin Cameron and David Anderson in that league, but Klok has the legs on them. I hope he plays!

I'm sure it was during County's first game at Pittodrie last season (the 'Fitzpatrick' game) when there was a good bit of talk about Scott Ferries in the programme? They were praising him as one of their better prospects, with Billy in the programme hinting at regret that he'd brought him to Aberdeen rather than kept him at County. Obviously looking after his son's welfare and thought he'd be best served at Aberdeen, but hadn't expected County's improvement to be so quick or to such an extent. I'm basing this on an article I read a couple of years ago, so may have some details wrong, but the gist was definitely that he was regarded as one of their better prospects. So to have picked him up is pretty exciting! My be wrong about it being in that specific programme. I was behind Billy Ferries in the queue for tickets for that game, so I may mixing my memories... forkboy
Glad to hear that we're loaning out at least one of the Dutch lads. Hope the first team chance does Klok good.
Spain
Yep, I'd class that as good news. I really liked the look of Klok and think he has a lot of potential, but with Kiss & Tidser & co, we have better options right now so he's best to get some game time.
