Dundee Utd vs Celtic Sunday 28th

Recommended Posts

Is that w****r head steward with the Ian Rush moustache who does both Dundee grounds still working up there?

Papped me out of Dens Park at half time about five years ago for smoking in the toilet at half time, when I asked a copper outside if he could escort me back in to collect my ten year old son he just told me to go back in as 'He's an absolute clown mate, go back to your seat ' 😂

Anyway, blah blah budgets, meaningless, songs, etc etc

Jota to score a couple and the **** watching on TV to claim an anti protestant conspiracy as Celtic get a dubious throw in during the build up to a goal.

3-1 to Angeball.

Just what it says, VAR is not beneficial to supporters attending games.

VAR is there to ensure no major decisions are made incorrectly - I don't see any difference whether you are attending games or not in that respect.

To cover your second point: I see you are in the Philippines, so VAR may add to your enjoyment as you watch on a television, but for fans at the game, it just means elongated periods of nothingness.

As to ensuring 'no major decisions are made incorrectly', you've possibly not been paying attention VAR's utilisation so far. VAR is used selectively, and glaring errors are made at times.

There's an advert for SKY on various media presently here, telling prospective subscribers that you only see live football once, that's what it is, LIVE!. Yet VAR has really been introduced to enhance the experience for those who are not actually watching a game live, in person, it's to supplement the offering for those sitting in a pub or at home.

It's another nail in the coffin for football.

I really don't think VAR was introduced for any reason other than to ensure (as much as possible) major mistakes were not made. Are mistakes still made, for sure but less than before.  It's imperfect.

I genuinely don't believe for 1 minute it was introduced for entertainment.  If it was it's been a riproaring failure.   I also don't get that armchair fans benefit from VAR, at least I don't and I hate the disruption as much as you hence my questioning of your comment.

Basically, I'm saying it's as S**** (OK almost)  for armchair fans as folk in the grounds.  And, at least fans in the stadium can chat to their mates - I only have the wife to pass the time with!

For the avoidance of doubt, I am not a fan of VAR.

I’m wholly in favour of VAR.  Is it perfect, no; does it improve the likelihood of correct decisions being made, yes.

Sure.  But, is the sacrifice required worth it given it's far from perfect?

Who the hell leaves their 10yo son sitting in a football stadium to go have a smoke in the toilet, and who would just leave the stadium, escorted out or not, and not go get their son before leaving, yeah sounds a load of made up pish.

Only a celtic fan could make themselves a victim for leaving their 10 year old son to go for a smoke in the toilets and getting thrown out the stadium.

If the story actually is true I hope you have a minter.

If only VAR had been in place in the Dens toilets that day, you could have proved all these doubters wrong.

Why would you make up a story that casts yourself as lead moron?

I was sitting with about half a dozen mates and my son, leaving your ten year old son with your pals for a few minutes at half time to go to the toilet isn't exactly Kate and Gerry McCann type behaviour that it's being insinuated let's be honest.
