You're all being very cynical, I'm sure GBDPR will be even more restrictive and protective over our rights as consumers.

We did take back control after all.

You may have mistaken who “we” are.

Is it just me but with the more we’ll known political commentators and journalists (rightly) going for the jugular now against Truss and Kwarteng where the f**k have they been for the past few years under Boris?

I guess it either didn't suit them or, more likely, the people paying them.

BBC Scotland, meanwhile, still toeing the line of not asking any difficult questions of tories or even being in the right place.

Glen Campbell for some reason was "live at westminster" yesterday instead of asking difficult questions in birmingham, ffs..........

Lizzie & Kamikwasi fucked with housing market.

You can be a b*****d, an incompetent b*****d, a lying incompetent b*****d, a thieving lying incompetent b*****d but, if you're a thieving lying incompetent b*****d who put the return on a Bloomsbury townhouse at risk, you're fucked.

I'm beginning to get the sense that he's incompetent. There's also the confusion of when his fiscal statement will be delivered. I think this is all leading up to the classic "I'm resigning to spend more time with my family".

Fucking hell.

Does he believe anyone will buy this?  Does he think this makes him look more or less capable?

It’s like fucking amateur hour.  People wholly unprepared for high office underestimating the scrutiny they will be under then saying even more ridiculous things when caught out.

This is going to be absolute SCENES. Truss will sack Kwarteng but is too thick to realise he'll almost certainly immediately stab her in the back. She's going to be a lamer duck PM than that cuntress May was. Glorious.

It's quite something that Theresa May is only the third worst PM in the last 4 years.

What gave him away?

it used to be the case that politicians were infamous for being slippery and evasive but their responses would cleverly respond to the question without actually answering the question.

Now there is no pretence to try and connect a response to the question - at best there is a tenuous link in there somewhere if you look hard enough, at worst it is a pre-rehearsed line that is completely at odds with what is being asked. Re the latter, Truss is queen of that response - regurgitated soundbites, rehearsed to within an inch of their life and it is frankly laughable, shark jumping stuff.

I wish more and more journalists would call them out on it.

You've got to give Truss some credit.  Who thought that in 2022 a shape shifting, incoherent dullard who speaks only by the pulling of a cord in her back could ascend to the highest political office in the land.

Paisley can be proud of its bonnie lass.

No need to bring N.Ireland biggots into this.

So this is what they actually want us to think? :

"we've got a self-declared mini-budget in four days time.  Pulling this together could cause some serious pressure"

"We could easily delay it a few days?"

"Nah, we'll stick to our guns, rush this one through for the sake of it, and hope this self-admitted gamble won't crash the economy like many experts suggest it will."
