Raith under Levein were absolutely direct (Craig Levein and Marvin Andrews, so obviously this was the case). And the McGlynn team with Tade in it was also direct (Morton were similarly so under Irons at the time). Armand one played 21 games for us, started only 13 times. Craig Levein managed us for only 7 games. That was 16 years ago and probably in our worst spell in we’ve had in nearly 40 years watching them.

Also, although it's a long time ago now, my recollection of the Levein 'era' is that we played some very good football and didn't get the results we should have due to poor finishing. Although statistically his spell in charge doesn't look great, the difference in performance was unreal. McGlynn MK 1 however was undeniably direct and we were probably quite direct under Dalziel too. Anyhow, today will definitely see some long throws being shelled into the box by both sides. The difference is neither of our long throw specialists are likely to start the match.
Raith Against The Machine
It's not the simplest thing in the world to buy tickets online for Cappielow, is it? Any idea what "block" we're supposed to be picking in, presumably, the Main Stand?

You’re not wrong, the difference in performances was quite unbelievable in just under two months. Not sure where the direct football statement was getting played under Levein, especially naming a centre half as part of it.

Hank Scorpio
I’m in the car on the way, but the traffic is so bad at the FRB our estimated time of arrival is about half time. Going to have to abandon and go home. What a great way to spend my Saturday.

So essentially unless you are travelling by car or bus and chose to go by Kincardine, you won’t get there? My sat nav told us to go by the FRB. I fucking hate this stupid fucking country.

RAITHROVERS84
Stuck on the A90; don’t know what’s going on but think this is chalked for me. Add in the grief trying to get tickets from Morton’s website it’s a shambles of a day.
P.C
Currently wading through Celtic fans on the train trying to work out how fast we will need to run to make the connection. Spoiler very fast.

Ended up just taking cash out to use at ticket office, but will keep in mind for next time.
roverthemoon
We’ve been a passing team for the last few seasons. At times to great effect, at times driving us to distraction. It’s good to now have a different option. It’s the Scottish Championship, so no problem with teams setting up whatever way they want. You have got to cut your cloth to what you’ve got available. And let’s face it, if lumping it long to big John starts to get us results then we’ll be all for it.

Hank Scorpio
Got in the car an hour and a half ago and I’m currently approaching the Dalmeny slip road on the way to Crammond This country’s road infrastructure is unrivalled.

You have no idea…but I will agree it’s highly competitive, and certainly top 10! I would, however, place the morons in charge of infrastructure here in Texas on at least a par with your lot. I will certainly agree that the scheduling in Scotland is worse than here, not because of any complex reasons, just because the planners here a genuinely afraid some pissed of c**t like you might show up at their office with a gun if they f**ked up attendance at a sporting event! Entertainment events, they can f**k that up with the best of them.
