Week 6

Feels like every time we play the Chiefs it's quick slant to WR for huge play, then pass to wide open Kelce, then Mahomes scrambling in the red zone. Had assumed we'd absolutely bottle up Kelce and ask Mahomes to win with his other weapons but that's not been the plan

That'll do. Still don't think the Bills have played anywhere near their ceiling but thats going to be huge for the #1 seed race. Though the AFC East is sort of good this season, to the extent I'm now worried more about a trip to the Jets in week 9 than at home to the Packers after the bye.

Key drive was just before half time, looked like the Chiefs were going to go in at least ten up when we were backed up on our own line and we went 98 yards in 4 plays.

As I said before the game, Miller was the difference from last year, was a joke how many times he was held and not called. Got there in the end.

I think the Saints just put up the worst 60 minutes of secondary play I've ever seen. It's bizarre that in a league that is becoming more and more about passing, defensive backs seem to be getting worse and worse ever single year. Missed 'tackles' galore, bad angles, umpteen examples of 'neither nor' where the DB neither sold out to break up the pass nor played it safe and made sure of the tackle.

I accept that making it easier for passing games automatically makes life more difficult for DB's, but atrociously poor fundamentals, constant mental mistakes, and a total inability to turn your head and defend passes that are nothing more than chuck n duck... God it boils my piss.

There are a few 6-0 teams who have completely disintegrated in the past, and while I think the Eagles are a bit more solid than the ones that immediately spring to mind, I don't think you get a really true and accurate picture of what's what in the NFL until December when the games really mean something and injuries start to pile up. I'd far rather end the season 6-0 than start it 6-0, and I'd want to see how Philly fare late in the year against a team that is going to stand up and punch them in the mouth. Hurts has evidently made strides over the off-season, but I'd still be wary of trusting him to go toe to toe in a game that becomes a QB battle.
