Jute
9ers D win them the game again. Be interesting to see who 9ers bring in this week if Jimmy G is out long term. Purdy has played well but need a back up even if we are going with him.

Nightmare
The Chargers better not get rid of Brandon Staley and hire someone competent. Such a talented team but so, so badly coached. It took some hero ball on 4th down from Herbert to keep this game close. Get it right up ye, Keenan Allen.

Jute
Oh bugger. Not my favourite player but he would probably got us close again.
peasy23
Oh bugger. Not my favourite player but he would probably got us close again. Purdy did some good stuff last night, but the offense did grind to a halt a bit in the second half. Defenses win Championships they say? We can but hope.

peasy23
I didn't see the late game, only the score. How the feck did it go from 21-19 to 54-19 in not much more than one quarter?

Great fighting spirit although it helps having Ja'marr Chase back fit. Plus, Perine and Higgins are in great form. Who Dey ?

How the feck did it go from 21-19 to 54-19 in not much more than one quarter? The Colts collapsed, gave the ball away and Dallas punished them. Dak cut out the errors.Score is flattering for the Cowboys.
peasy23
Brady is a c**t, but fair play to him for conjuring up a win after doing nothing on offense for the first 55 minutes of the game. Saints shat the bed big time on both sides of the ball, giving up chunk plays on defense and not being able to either move the ball or even eat up time on offense on their last few possessions.

Such a talented team but so, so badly coached. It took some hero ball on 4th down from Herbert to keep this game close. Get it right up ye, Keenan Allen. I'm 80% sure Staley will get an injury pass because the Spanos family have shown after sitting through 4 years of Mike McCoy and 4 years of Anthony Lynn that they can't accept they've made an error and get rid of an obviously inadequate coach. At the very least, the Chargers need to replace Joe Lombardi, find some genuine deep threat at WR, and Staley needs to completely move on from his totally ineffective D scheme, but that's not going to happen as he's made it clear over and over that he's totally wedded to the concept regardless of how completely calamitous it is in practice. Injuries have undoubtedly robbed this team of a few wins, but they don't mask the straight-up shitty coaching jobs that have cost them even more. 'Defensive Guru' Brandon Staley's D - This isn't some sort of injury-induced crisis, because it was exactly the same story last season with a totally different, and completely healthy group of players. It's not talent, it's a completely bullshit concept that just doesn't work. They also give up 3rd down conversions at a completely ridiculous rate, so it's not as if his 'sacrifice run D to protect against the pass' mantra is even working on the field. To put it in context, the Cardinals have the league's 31st 3rd Down D, allowing something like 31% conversion rate. The Chargers are 32nd, allowing 46%. It's cataclysmically poor, not just a shade off where it should be. This season has been yet more of what Chargers fans had to sit through over the last 7-8 years of Philip Rivers' career as a Charger. They are completely wasting an upper tier QB, and if they had a league average starter under C they'd likely be a 2-3 win team. It really is that pathetic. I still can't fathom how you go into a game with a Practice Squad level OL that you know can't protect your QB, against a team that is starting a guy at DT that you cut because he is a complete liability v's the run, and then you drop your QB back 56 times, ignore the running game, ignore playaction, and don't bother running the ball at the guy who was routinely abused by every opponent you played since the day he was drafted. It's criminally incompetent.
