Living with athletes foot

Recommended Posts

having suffered all my life with increasingly painful feet i recently found a pair of shoes that didnt kill me to walk.

unfortunately almost immediately i started getting itchy between my toes and soon i was unconsciously raking my toes along the seam of the mattress in my sleep.

now they are in awful state. does anyone else have athletes foot/foots?

Intermittently. It responds almost instantly to treatment, even the cheap shite from home bargains.

During the recent prolonged hot spell a related condition made an unwelcome return. Don’t know the medical word but when I worked in kitchens it was known as “chef’s arse”.

Used to get this a lot till I started using a spray called daktarin active (I think). Only the spray worked though, not the creams or powders.

Also try out toe socks. They separate out your toes which helps I think.

The above 2 things combined and I've not had it for years.

I have suffered from it on and off my whole life.

Dr Scholl is my friend.

Zeasorb is a life saver. It can be hard to find the preventative powder, but it’s amazing. Heard good things about the anti-fungal powder too. There’s also “Anti Monkey Butt Powder”, the warehouse forklift drivers swear by it,

There used to be a sports shop in Limassol (thats Cyprus btw) called The Athletes Foot.

Wonder if they sold many trainers?

Kind of like this from what I can remember.

About Us/Our Stores| The Athlete's Foot

The same shop have many outlets here in the Philippines.  It hasn't spread to my area yet, though.

Steer clear of footjobs and you should be fine.

Also, any excuse to reference Television's Greatest Doctor:
