Three handballs in the box, I think, although I would be raging if any of them had been given against Queen's.

Happy for the big man to get his first goal in a tournament we haven't lost a game in since before covid. You can enjoy the premiership, we can enjoy being King's of the diddies for a little while longer at least

an86
Great if you win, shrug of the shoulders if you lose. Was always going to be disjointed with the changes and the conditions weren’t great. No regrets about the selection, despite the result. We had to see who is up to it for the run in, who isn’t and who might be a bit undercooked and need loaned out. If it we weren’t going to play the fringe guys tonight, we were never going to. Individual error from Eze cost us. Not a lot in the game and was convinced that the only way it wasn’t finishing 0-0 was a goal from set piece. Didn’t factor in the performance art from the big fella. Things we learned: the Eze experiment is over, Healy looks promising, Williamson is never going to be a lone striker and probably needs to go out on loan to play regular football, whilst continuing to train and develop here. The fact Murray didn’t feature, even at 1-0, shows exactly where the priorities lie. Always disappointed to lose, but not one I’m going to lose sleep over. Fair play to Raith Rovers. They took their chance when it came to them and good luck to them.

Hampden Diehard
Williamson - high balls to him are never going to work, for him or the team. He's better harrying and running at defenders with the ball. Healy - a hint of how good he's going to be. Biggar - always liked him; a decent player is definitely in there.
CathcartSkins
A decent enough game considering the changes on both sides and the conditions. We played well, passed the ball around very neatly and confidently without creating too many chances. Worthwhile run out for the players and gives me confidence that there are a few more players who are near to knocking on the first team door. All the best to the Rovers, I hope you win it now.

I'd be really keen for us to keep this winning streak up. Having said that, only six times in 30-odd years has the team that's won the Challenge Cup gone on to win the league that same season (Rangers in 2016, Ross County in 2019, Falkirk in 2005 and 1994, Caley Thistle in 2004 and St Mirren in 2006). Appreciate you meant the Championship but QoS did the League and Cup double in 2013 albeit we were in what was then known as Division 2. And in doing so prevented Partick Thistle doing the double with the Championship as both league winners met in the final. Anonymous Spider
Bit of a blow because we all felt we could make a decent attempt at the trophy - but the team selection and subs show where sits sits in the list of priorities. Very encouraged with Healy - on this evidence he's ready to make an impact. Thought we could have been better on the ball - Bannon especially seemed to just launch it every time he got it... although it's always going to be disjointed when you make that many changes. Eze... jeesy peeps, as I believe the popular vernacular goes... sure he gets caught on the ball for the goal but Naismith's got to be quicker over to cover (or remotely dangle a leg out to tackle). Onwards.
