SJFA Constitution and Rules, "Cup Competition Rules No. 2" :-

"The competition for the Cup shall be annual, and shall be open to all member clubs of the Association and all tier 6 teams and below on payment of entry fee, subject to the approval of the Committee. All matches shall be played under the laws of the Association game."

...so Talbot could still enter as one of the "member clubs of the Association" after promotion to the LL assuming there is nothing in the LL constitution preventing them from still being in the SJFA.

Or Darvel, or any team in the LL who so desired. However, as I mentioned, I don't think there is any agreement between the SJFA and the LL regarding suitable and appropriate provision for scheduling SJC matches into their schedule. That would be a conversation the SJFA would need to have with the LL if one of their member clubs expressed a desire to take part in the SJC.

No argument there but I don't think there is any cooperation between the SJFA and EoS on this but a handful of EoS clubs still enter. LL clubs having floodlights would help a bit on home cup ties compared to what is happening in an EoS context with that issue. Guess the main problem would be what to do when an away SJC tie clashes with an LL fixture on a Saturday. Most clubs would probably be happy to simply take the walkover but maybe neutral venues under floodlights midweek could be arranged for that scenario if a collective decsion was made that it was something that has to be accomodated?

Do you think our defeat was down to the keeper tonight mate ?

Apart from the first 20/25 mins when we could have scored a couple of goals . we were rotten , a pretty average Cumnock team could have took 5 or 6 off us tonight , we were that bad .
