Transport Minister quits due to mental health

He's still well enough to carry on as an msp, so it sounds like he's had enough of getting flak for others mistakes in the ferry fannying on

Did he not get into bother for some indiscretions whilst drunk?

Kevin Pringle is an extremely impressive appointment from Humza Yousaf. Pray that there may now be a semblance of competency every now and again if Pringle is allowed to pull the strings.

Humza is a bigger jinx than Random Guy.

This morning Humza Yousaf, told the BBC Nicola Sturgeon was “in a good place and doing well”, adding he welcomed advice from "one of the best politicians, the most impressive politicians, Europe has seen over the last couple of decades". Three hours later she's been arrested

Its a bit lazy.

NS was in for a prearranged police interview under caution.

Even if HY knew about it (entirely feasible) he cant say anything about the arrest on national tv ahead of it happening otherwise he would end up on a CoC charge himself.

Journalists should know this and not suggest that the police just turned up and stuck the cuffs on..............

The prearranged patter makes me laugh, it keeps getting used to take the edge of.

Having to be interviewed by the police under caution is not something I've ever had to arrange. It's not something anyone would want to have to arrange tbf.

The scotgov, got the look of the wheels starting to come off now. The wobble has started. Yousaf is looking weak with his handling of the Murrel/Sturgeon fiasco. Slater is daily in the news giving car crash answers. The other green guy is missing in action as usual. Theres no focus it seems on issues that actually matter now.

Its going off the road without some strong leadership and actions.

It is, have they achieved anything on that?

Anything they've achieved on this is anything more than what the tories have achieved on this, or what Labour will achieve on it if their backtracking on funding commitments is anything to go by.

Which scheme is this? I hope it works out better than DRS where most people prefer kerbside recycling 🙂

There is actually some version of DRS that works with kerbside recycling which is intriguing...

That I could live with

What about the census FUBAR? Delayed by a year by the SNP to show how COVID caring they were, its been over a year since I filled in mine and the official website has just announced even preliminary results won't be available till autumn

https://www.scotlandscensus.gov.uk/about/2022-census/census-outputs-schedule/

The outputs consultation through up a huge number of issues. They should just have told stakeholders how the data was going to be published rather than pre-engagement as that was only ever going to delay things. Not sure if there was a specific requirement for the outputs consultation,  there may well have been.

That said I am a stakeholder in this sort of data and did respond so can't really complain !!!
