I'm not sure there's really any basis for this. Ultimately you had 3 games after you actually won it, a draw with Airdrie (granted creditably achieved with 9 men), a last ditch win in a dead rubber against the 2nd worst team in the league and a meaningless game against half an Alloa team far more interested in Tuesday.
