It's almost although we've been told to throw it...

Or the dressing room committee have figured out how it will work out for them.

Tbf, Dom Thomas looked pissed off and Coyle is near raging. Maybe it’s just down to a decent bunch of lads who played lovely football and caught everyone out but when it comes to the part of the season that needs the strong minds, we’re now found out. A bit like the Gardner years.

Can't be fucked reading the rest of this thread.

We've been dugmeat for five weeks, we got lucky against Cove and ICT but really we should have lost the last 5. It's actually frightening how much we've dropped off from where we were in that time.

Thought Kilday and Eze were our best players (I went for a piss and missed 4-0 which was apparently his fault, not that it really means anything in the grand scheme) and that says it all.

Letting Simon Murray go in January, whether he forced it or the club did, has cost us the chance of a historic league title.

That was fucking dreadful. Connor Shields at jogging pace and almost magnetically attached the the touchline. Hopeless.

We look like a 33/1 horse that has ran an excellent race, but ends up breathing out of its arse on the final furlong. Don’t f**k up getting into the playoffs and this is still a great season.

Time to put on your big boy pants Queens and get the confidence back in the team which look splintered at the moment.

Surely you're not that paranoid?

Of course not, it's just that the collapse from this squad is that fucking embarrassing there is almost no explanation for it.

I must admit I'm surprised by the collapse too. Its obvious to see there is a Simon Murray shaped hole in the QP team as you could have played 3 games back to back and not scored last night. I actually thought you played some decent counter-attacking football in the first half last night but no focal point up top.

Actually, no they haven't. The SFA threatened to play all internationals and cup finals at Murrayfield, and essentially blackmailed the club into selling them the ground. If they won promotion to the premiership, then it would make sense for them to play at 'Greater' Hampden.

So they did sell it. I’m not arguing with the politics of it, but it’s no longer their ground, right? So the SFA have no obligation to allow QP to use it for matches against ‘bigger teams’ should they be a Premiership side next season, as is your argument.

It's not like 40,000 Aberdeen fans are going to come down for a game against QP, their argument is flawed.

That was just appalling in every aspect. For 80% of the season we had an arrogance that we would always out score the opposition but not only has that mindset died off slightly, it’s completely vanished. Murray leaving is a big factor but I just cannot excuse some of the individual performances of some players.

Another gutless display by Savoury who when on his game is a smashing player but equally is like a man down when off it. Dom Thomas looks bereft of confidence, refuses to take his man on now which is crazy considering the ability he’s got. Connor shields looked like he chucked it for 90 minutes last night.

We can blame players but at times, you need to place criticism on the manager. He’s been outstanding but simply swapping your left winger week in week out isn’t solving the primary issue, which is of course the set up. We’re playing a system that suits Simon Murray. We can’t continue to play something that doesn’t suit shields and hope it magically works. His subs were poor. Why are two players who make no impact in McPake and Henderson coming on instead of Williamson and Jarrett ?

Title is done but the next few weeks are a real test of character for certain individuals

So are you saying that QP wanted to stay amateur, and only turned professional because the SFA threatened to walk away from Hampden ?

Didn't you just give yourself the explanation for it?

But haven’t Queen’s Park chosen that to be the case?

QP sold Hampden (understandably) so the fact it was their ground for a century makes little difference to your argument.

Not quite. The SFA said 'sell us Hampden or we're going to take our games elsewhere'. Queen's really had no choice.

Not disagreeing with the reasons why QP sold Hampden. But Queens chose to develop Lesser in the way they have, did they not?

It's no longer their ground, correct. The SFA may or may not allow them to play there. I never suggested they should be allowed to switch for bigger games, but rather they should be allowed to play their entire season there if promoted. I suppose it all depends on how much influence Queen'd Park have.

No. They turned professional in order to avoid relegation out of the SPFL, however they did not want to sell Hampden.
