I’m sure the champions league and World Cup referees get plenty training but still manage to f**k it up every week. Referees will always make mistakes just like players do, nothing can ever make me understand why people wanted to take away the spontaneity and excitement of scoring goals for this. Aye, great response from someone who refuses to follow through on the logic. If they were simply "mistakes", the VAR assistant would inform the referee that he's made a "mistake" and that "mistake" would then be overturned. That's the whole point of VAR. The reason this isn't happening isn't due to some technical failure with the VAR itself, but due to actual people standing by their wrong decisions, even after the technology clearly shows them that they were wrong. And he's old enough now and been linesmanning long enough now that he can't be doing it to become a referee, because surely that ship's sailed. Don't know that much about it but it basically meant he was focusing on only being an assistant and wasn't trying to become a referee. Just to clarify, I never said there was a "conspiracy against Hibs".
