Beating clubs with a fraction of your budget is hollow (Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen pay their players more than 6 times less than you and that's before we factor in transfer fees). Getting beaten by your rival who has comparable spending power means something, even when there's nothing to play for. oh wow that was surprisingly simple to demonstrate that it can work both ways.
