Very Old Firm behaviour from Hearts Fans here. Explains the B Team

Can’t stand that laddie. However, it is also worth noting that vast majority of comments are saying to keep it at Ainslie Park, including most Hearts supporters. Not sure where they OF behaviour is?

Not particularly important, but why did the home team change strip?

No idea - I wondered that too.

They wore their change strip when they came to Kelty earlier in the season, but they were the away team that day, so expected.

The Buckie club president is claiming that it’ll cost them £4,500 for VAR in their game against Celtic.

https://www.northern-scot.co.uk/sport/buckie-must-pay-for-var-and-celtic-wont-let-them-wear-the-h-337755/

Last season it was a case of VAR by default at televised games from Premiership grounds. For untelevised games at Premiership grounds, the clubs would have to cover the costs (not surprisingly, none did).

It seems unfair that if your game is picked for TV (and is at a Premiership ground), you don’t have any choice but to pay, further reducing the already meagre TV payment.

Hope there’s a decent crowd at Celtic park to give Buckie Thistle a decent pay out but if wether is crap might be a shambles, game of a life time for some of their Bhoys who support Celtic 🍀

Most part time clubs would be delighted to be in Buckie’s position.  £24,000 tv payment plus £19,500 exit payment if they lose plus sizeable share of gate money - var payment is readily covered

I'm struggling to see the issue here, the cost of VAR is less than the cost of the TV broadcast, so they are still making money as a result of it being shown on TV rather than not.

Like most things with VAR, it's the inconsistent approach. Doesn't need to be at all games, in the past both teams had to agree to share costs, etc. Plus its something they've never had to use before and never thought they would and an extra cost they hadn't expected. Yes they'll still make money but its another example of the bizarre half arsed implementation of the system we have up here.

VAR should be at all Scottish Cup games (I know, I know) or none.  How the fuck are clubs allowing some games to be refereed differently to others in the same competition? It should be the same across the board.
