Pure speculation on my part but if his goal was to take them into the SPFL maybe the recent move to make bronze level licensing mandatory at that level was looking a little daunting in terms of the price tag? There were a few unhappy Tranent fans there tonight who left long before the end, some saying they won't be back until Max is emptied. Hearts overwhelmed Tranent with pace early on, scoring twice, having another chalked off for offside and hit the post, all before Tranent had Higginbotham sent off after 27 mins. Max has stated his desire to remain involved with the Club and we have therefore invited him to join the Committee. Ian little will take over as First Team Manager with immediate effect.
