Tranent 2023/24

Timing is definitely a bit strange given they appeared to be geared up for a serious run at the promotion playoffs. Pure speculation on my part but if his goal was to take them into the SPFL maybe the recent move to make bronze level licensing mandatory at that level was looking a little daunting in terms of the price tag? That's going to be a lot easier for some clubs to do than others where pitch dimensions are concerned.

I wonder if their promotion push will be toast now he's out the door?

The man’s made a choice to step down and take time out. Just a bit strange it’s so early into the season but they seem to have a hard working committee behind the scenes.

3-0 Hearts B, didn’t really see that coming.

Have Tranent pulled the win bonuses already? 🤔

There were a few unhappy Tranent fans there tonight who left long before the end, some saying they won't be back until Max is emptied.

Hearts overwhelmed Tranent with pace early on, scoring twice, having another chalked off for offside and hit the post, all before Tranent had Higginbotham sent off after 27 mins.

Thereafter Hearts were content to keep possession and scored a third just after the hour mark.

The Max vandetta underway already lol

Tranent have a strong solid squad but with that loonie in charge they have no chance. Some of his tactical decisions are mind-boggling to say the least. Cue the upcoming player fallout too, I’m banking on Higgonbottham.

However, with the money man stepping down someone’s going to have to pay the wages, so strap in boys 😉

I am sure in his business he has many connections and if their are any opportunities that the club can benefit from then that can only be a good thing surely

What’s the point of spending money if the players do not gel
