What part of it is wrong?

"No Plan B" isn't true. We played a different system yesterday (which didn't work whatsoever) and some games have been won either after noticeable in-game changes (Kelty away, QotS away, Alloa at home) or pre-game (Annan away/QotS at home, Montrose away). Given how many goals we've scored/chances created from cutbacks this season, I think it's fair to say that that is a clear plan of Rankin's; usually overloading one side and either using someone like Barjonas, Smith or MacDonald to open the play up, or Barjonas, Longridge, Zanatta etc will link up on that overloaded side to then cut the ball back for someone in the middle.

I don't really like how much I've defended Rankin this season as I still don't think he's good enough in the medium-term, however I do think he can get us promoted this season so I'm willing to see how he responds to this poor run of form.

So the accies CEO has admitted an approach. Firstly is Morrison in the last 6 months of his contract and secondly have they informed us of this approach . If either is no then it's an illegal approach.

Aye, I think we're due some serious compo here!

I’ve heard that there are discussions going on between owners of Accies & Airdrie re potential merger of both clubs……..with a new name being Lanarkshire Celtgers to appease the “loyal” factions of both supports.

Was that funny in your head before you posted it ?

He takes far too long to change it. Me and a couple of fans who I sit at notice that he spend about 5-10 minutes every week talking to Daz by the time they've even figured out what they want to do most weeks. By the time they do decide it's either far too late or he brings on our worst sub (Mumbongo) or a guy who's not played in months due to injury when we are needing/holding a goal out (Redfren) Teams have played us once now and have worked us out and he doesn't know how to change it and the stuff he is trying is failing terribly like you mentioned.

You are fully entitled to your opinion I personally highly doubt that Rankin will get us promoted which does frustrate me because I do think we have the squad to get promoted under a decent manager. I would love to be proven wrong though and I hope i do and he does get us promoted i just don’t think that will be the case sadly. I think some people are forgetting he got us relegated last season if he was appointed in the summer I might have been willing to give him more time.

Not wanting to change the topic, but what’s the goss on the bust-up in the Accies dressing room yesterday? A Kelty player who lives locally told a mate that two players had to be “escorted” out.

Obviously been tapped up way before us if he’s already agreed to sign for someone.

Why don't you tell us...?

Ok, here’s the scoop. Our DOF, who by the way I despise, claimed at the forum that he last week approached Morrison with a view to signing him(stifle your laughter for a moment and humour me please) He was told, thanks but no thanks as he was signing a pre contract with a team down south in January. Falkirk are looking to get some sort of cash for him in January as they have players they want in which will allow him to leave then rather than at the end of the season.

Leaving out the "tapping up" aspect of the alleged approach, that's pretty unprofessional from your DOF. Assuming it's true of course.

It's not a good look for a club official to give out what is obviously confidential information concerning another club. When he was in charge at Falkirk, Peter Houston was asked at a fan forum about the possibility of us going for Stephen Dobbie. Houstie responded by telling the room what Dobbie's salary was and the QOTS fans on P&B went nuts about it afterwards. Even though he was basically explaining why Dobbie was beyond our reach.

Football clubs know a lot more about opposing dressing rooms than most fans would believe. But it's not really the done thing to put that knowledge out in public. If your DOF did, then I'd suggest it was an error of judgement on his part.

As to whether the story is actually true, I have no idea. We'll all know for certain once the January window closes.

Our DOF is a walloper to be fair.

Any idea of who you guys are looking to bring in?

I know one who is “almost there” who would make an impact for any of the top 3 in our League.
