The Hamilton Accies League 1 thread

Recommended Posts

Well I guess it really did happen and here we are! Can we find a way to get out at the first time of asking? Evidence would suggest a resounding NUT!

However its the hope that kills you and sure the coming season will be interesting at least. How we all feeling about the next 12 months and will we even have a club by the end?

Still deafening silence from the club, which tbf is pretty standard at this time after a season.

Only thing that seems to be a cert, is that Rankin is staying... which I believe can only lead to further disappointment.

Honestly if things go as I expect then, Colin will transfer the club ownership to one of his dodgy mates, more players will leave and we will replace them with kids, journeymen and unknowns, and of course the club will continue to drive a wedge between themselves and the withering support.

But we can only wait and see.

Here we are.

No doubt league one or the leagues below is where the future of Hamilton Accies will be.

Silence from the club regarding 'new owners' and the position of John Rankin and Daz McKinnon.

If we are being honest, there will be no new owner. It will be current director Seref Zengin which brings zero change.

McGowan, still owning the stadium, bringing in shady sponsors with nobody out with Hamilton Accies fans batting an eyelid.

The management team keeping their jobs after last season is an indication that nothing will change, we will just keep rewarding failure.

Sad times.

Be a good sport Accies ... let Queens win one of the four games please, just one, for a change, you know it makes sense ... aye?

They did basically save us from certain relegation in the Rowe/Eadie era by being docked 12 points (or was it 15) for failing to fulfil a fixture, no surprise they've been clawing those points back from us gradually  (with interest) since then. Always had a soft spot for Accies since that time but hoping we can come out on top against them this season.

"Thank you very much for the 15 pooooints, thank you very much for the 15 points. Thank you very very very very very very very very very very very MUCH!"

Not a very creative song but it was to the point and showed the Queens fans appreciation to Accies...

Can a Hamilton fan summarise what's gone wrong at the club in the last few years? Its been so long since we have been in the same division, like the Queens fan, I haven't really been following your story?

In short the crook in the photo above has been trying to complete what he failed to do at Raith.

This is more like it. Players getting linked with teams like Leeds and Norwich is boring, I want more of the 'Ronan Hughes to Man United' type rumours.

He was our top scorer and best striking option, albeit he wasn’t setting the heather alight.

The fans very much wanted him to stay but Larne offered the prospect of European football and the board let him move in January
