The Hamilton Accies Championship Thread

Recommended Posts

There has also been talk at recent forums about purchasing existing playing fields in Hamilton for training. Happy for us to explore various options before reverting to grass. A community tie in or a relationship with a junior club could work but cansee potential issues with that too tbh.

Main focus is get ownership of the stadium, ensure any income generated at the stadium goes to the club and stop McGowan using our name for all his pet projects. The recent ice rink fiasco is a classic example of a total shambles that was nothing to do with the club, yet damaged our reputation as folk saw it as an Accies event.

I believe we will also be able to atract more reputable sponsors when his association with the club is ended.

Is he still exploring a recovery centre in one of the spaces below a stand?

Thankfully not going ahead. Utter madness of an idea and an insult to the nursery tennants who have been at the stadium for years. Guys an absolute clown

Of all the things you can say about Colin McGowan, this really isn’t one of them.

He’s a complete arsehole with no interest in football but he’s patently not daft.

Do you not think trying to put a "recovery centre" next to a long established children's nursery is the actions of an absolute clown? Especially when said person constantly claims to be about "community"

That alone is mental, but to try and do it in a football stadium after you have driven out your main tennant (again long term) is clearly the actions of an utter clown. Sooner he is gone the better.

He's only interested in money. In that sense no it's not daft.

He's a p***k of the highest order but he's not daft.

No argument about Mcgoofy (as he is known because he is an utter clown) being a self serving parasite happy to take our club to the brink for his own profit. This is why it's vital he is removed. Thankfully it looks like we now have an owner that is prepared to put the club first (no doubt at significant personal financial risk) even it means the parasite benefits financially.

The fact that this has been the plan all along has never been in doubt and is why all the pillar of community posturing has stuck in the craw from day one.

We tried to buy The Bent Playing Fields 5 years ago and offered £2 million and the deal was kyboshed by some bigwigs at South Lanarkshire Council despite plenty Councillors and Officials being in favour.
