Never seen it at the time but seen a picture afterwards and it genuinely made me feel sick. The club have done so much work in eradicating these gimps from the support but clearly there is still more work to be done. I’d be shocked if the flag was seen again in airdrie as we’ve had zero tolerance for this stuff for a while.

Plus Dycey is there and they are not on the best of terms of rumours are to be believed. Think it told its own story that the only member of the Raith squad/staff McCabe didn’t go anywhere near was Fordyce.

Diamond8
21 minutes ago, cb_diamond said: Absolutely! I’ve absolutely no idea how it came about obviously but I also think it tells a story that the current players that remained and those that left also appear to have left on good terms with McCabe, not that it’s overly important but we appear to be in a better place than we were last season.

Would allow Megwa to get forward on occasion with McDonald tucking in if necessary Megwa being on the bench for Hibs today is a strange precursor to an imminent loan.

Diamond Gord
5 hours ago, A Diamond For Me said: The flag and the sentiments it represents are disgusting and hateful, and given the current situation in England with riots and violence in multiple cities it's at the point of inflamatory. There are settled refugees in Airdrie, what must they feel like knowing a banner like that was displayed at our game? Haven't things been hard enough for them? Can't people show basic human empathy? The club has been doing good work in recent years in tackling racism - it's not an Airdrie problem specificaly, but it's a social problem and Airdrie fans are part of wider society. Idiot flags like that undermine those efforts, and wider efforts to reach out to the community and rebuild the club. It's a saltire as well. What boats are landing in Scotland? Thick as two short planks!

Also, if the chance came to resign Megwa would you take it, or are Macdonald and Watson more than adequate . I’d be happy with MacDonald and Watson but we’d be mental not to bring him in if he becomes available. Adding another quality player can never be a bad thing.

That's the problem the SNP have screwed up the ferries due to lack of investment or spunking truckloads of cash on mismanaged shipbuilders The islands ferry services have been cut dramatically and you are correct they are not landing on mainland Scotland, businesses and locals from our very picturesque islands are suffering due to this... Maybe not the reply you were expecting but hey ho

Diamond1924
That flag that was hung up yesterday was an absolute embarrassment to the club, the town and its people. What a stupid message to push at a football game. I’ll take a wild guess and assume that the people who were vocal about David Linden becoming a fan/club committee member due to his involvement in politics were the same people who were behind that flag yesterday. They’re just too mutant to acknowledge the hypocrisy. No wonder our fan base get such a hard time when we have literal brainless scum pedalling their racist agendas at our games. Scott-ish
8 hours ago, WL Diamond said: Any chance we can get back to talking about football on this forum and keep the politics chat for Twitter etc? Also avoid sweeping generalisations about the views of entire fanbases? If we want to see slagging matches about scum / Nazis / spoon burners etc. there’s always the Facebook page too. This chat becomes tiresome very quickly Don't you think it would be more constructive to actually take a look at your own fan base and the embarrassment they cause the sensible minded Airdrie fans among you. You can try to sweep it under the carpet if you like but you're all being judged by the actions of your groups of far right supporters. If it's got no place on a football forum then it's got no place at football full stop. If you don't start self policing it then your part of the problem. That type of garbage isn't welcome at Somerset.
