The Boards have backed various managers with daft amounts of their creditors money but not with time You get about two years at Old Trafford to turn everything around and deliver the levels that the support feel entitled to and you're going to spend at least the first year of that dealing with the expensive mistakes from before you arrived so you've got to take some expensive punts pursuing a quick fix and if that doesn't work the next guy has an even bigger mess to clear up Managing to offload Ronaldo was a stroke of luck but a lot of "big name" players can reasonably expect to be there longer than Ten Haag. They won't think of him so much as "the manager" as "the current manager" ETA But at least they're not Chelsea. They now have lots of very expensive players on very long contracts and turn over managers even faster than Man United Mudryk could well end up playing under 10 different managers by the time he's completed his 8 year contract Edited November 2, 2023 by topcat(The most tip top)
Bairnardo
Just how bad is Old Trafford btw? I always thought it looked a great Stadium, but you see and hear a lot of chatter that it's in a bad way

Musketeer Gripweed
Personally, I don't think it is as bad as some having been making out. Fair enough, the owners haven't spent any money renovating it since the corners were filled in, about 15 years ago, but I think people are just using that as excuse to kick them again. It's only because other clubs, in particular their two main rivals, have spent a lot of money on theirs it seems to be a huge issue to the likes of Che Neville. Off the top of my head I would put it on a par with St James and Villa Park. Clean the gutters occasionally would be my top tip.

The away end is pretty horrific. Seats put on old concrete steps that are way too high. Sat in the SAF stand for the FA Cup semi in 2006 and remember it being a bit better but guess that’ll have aged now too.
DrewDon
Difficult to know where to put this, but Peter 'Reidy' Reid appears to be organising a straightener with Dominic 'Dom' Cummings in London on Monday.

Venti
Thought that was a legit goal, but Man Utd are a fucking joke. Fernandes is a wee bawbag.
Venti
Funny that you hear rumours about Man Utd selling McTominay. He's the only Utd player that looks like he's trying.
senorsoupe
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the Man United who is most blatantly phoning it in but others clearly can't be arsed either. As another poster mentioned, McTominay is the only guy who looks like he gives a shit

Ro Sham Bo
There's at least half a dozen of that United side who are utterly hopeless.

He’s the only one contributing at the moment and they all want him on the bench.

senorsoupe
And the funny thing about all of these overpaid frauds is that Man United will sack Ten Haag, the fans will blame the Glazers for not backing the manager, they will hire a new manager who will get backed by the Glazers and will promptly overpay for a bunch more frauds. It's the Man United Way
