Unlike Liverpool had, United don't have a manager in a strong enough position to negate the effect of bad PR generated on the business side e.g FSG and John Henry's daft idea to support the European Superleague. What a season it's going to be. Missed this last week. I had my doubts. I'm one of those who sometimes thinks the format has gone a bit stale but I'll tell you what, I've been proved wrong. No spoilers but I was taken aback. There's some genuine surprise fixtures in there that I just didn't expect.
