I had the Carabao Cup highlights on the other day and Everton's goalkeeper was listed as "Jordan Lee Pickford" on the team sheet. Make of that what you will.

Sure it wasn't Jordan Wee p***kford?

Luton and Wolves put in their place by VAR. You don't get last minute penalties against bigger teams. No matter how clear and obvious an error it is.

I genuinely have no idea what’s a handball anymore.  Saw the Luton decision earlier, and I have no idea why that wasn’t given.

The thing that gets me is that the commentors speak about this incidents in really clear terms, like you'll see one and they'll either be going "yeah your not getting a penalty for that" or claiming its a stonewaller and I'm watching, knowing that most commentators are idiots, thinking, what context are they using here to be an sure?

This is great. Every Barclays game on TV should exclusively be games between about 11 teams who can't defend for shit as you're guaranteed goals. Fuck all those boring top 6 clashes the Nigels all squirt over. Get shite like Everton v Sheffield United or Burnley v Wolves on every week.

I have no idea the purpose of the check. Why check it to see if thing happened, only for check to confirm that thing did indeed happen, then allow the goal anyway ffs

I wonder if it will get to the point that a team walks off of the pitch over a decision like that. Never in a million years should that have been allowed to stand, it should’ve been ruled out second VAR watched it back. Some inexcusable errors already this season

I just can't get my head around it. Akanji tried to kick the ball. It very clearly showed that it influenced the keepers movement. What the f**k were they checking it for if not that? Just a terrible decision with the benefit of VAR. Without VAR there's going to be much less fighting about it, but once you reach the point where they have the benefit of replays and still come up with a baffling call it just makes the whole thing pointless

Reading about Jordan Pickford scoring an own goal is up there with learning about Falkirk losing.

It's just a radiant joy washing over you.

It's almost comparable to my joy over Rangers forgetting which end they were shooting into the other night.
