Stirling Albion v Aberdeen

Recommended Posts

I very unconvincing performance from Aberdeen. Stirling Albion look a much improved side from the team we faced last season. Fair play to them today.

Morris is very frustrating. Does superbly well but he cannot cross or pass the ball which should be a given for a professional footballer. An emerging theme with him.

MacKenzie and Rubezic both struggled today. MacKenzie really lacks any conviction when on the ball.

Duncan's not a defender and like Mackenzie was being targeted. Clearly talented but he's always being played out of position. I think he's naturally a winger?

Clarkson was one of only a few who got pass marks. His passing was superb. Miovski, Duk and Sokler should have done better.

However we won despite being poor. We move on.

Not our finest hour but we got through it.

Stirling impressive and really had us rattled at points at 2-1.

Don’t get the bed wetting about next Thursday, totally different game. Just put that behind us and move on.

The lad in the terrible white polo shirt in the home end will have a sore head tomorrow.

Immensely proud of the team tonight, they knocked their pan out for the whole 90 minutes, and actually looked the better side in the closing stages when chasing the game. We have such a strong work ethic and team spirit right now. Aberdeen probably just about deserved it over the piece but we were far from disgraced. Night and day from the 5-0 skelping last season. DY got the team selection and tactics spot on, he's definitely a manager destined for better things, and we're lucky to have him.

All the best to the Dons for the rest of the season, thanks for turning up in such big numbers, helps the finances!!

So you’re not the slightest bit concerned about going into a European away game with our makeshift defence and the likes of Mackenzie and Duncan in the starting XI?

No, just that tonight isn’t a benchmark for it.

So proud of the effort and performance tonight.

For a part time team to be the ones driving on at the end shows the spirit they've got.

As  others have said we are so lucky to have Darren Young. This is the fittest, best organised and best team spirit I think I've seen us have in so many years.

After so many failed mangers it's a real breath of fresh air.
