Genuine question here, when he scored against Kilmarnock for Rangers was he equally subdued? You remember very very wrongly, the big smug face after he scored the winner that day became a meme. He scored quite a few goals against Rangers and always enjoyed it, just like he used to give it the big 'un when he scored against us.

Well, goals, protein shakes and mattresses from Park Lane Mattresses, Portland.

Yesterday we continually tried to play the ball through the middle of the park with very little width. With Kilmarnock using three CB’s and three midfielders you really need to stretch them and use width to create the gaps. We need to use our fullbacks to create that width but there were countless times the pass to Barisic was on but we went infield instead and on the other side, Tavernier was a mile off it with poor delivery after poor delivery. Im probably wrong, but it felt like by the end of Gerrards reign youd developed a narrow attack with "structure" behind it pretty much entirely as it helped counteract Celtic. Led to a title win, and since then its just stuck for a variety of reasons. Had assumed the big player turnover this Summer, particularly in attack, was to change that. But maybe Beales the issue on the front more than the squad.

He would drop deep to collect the ball and then Aribo or Kent (or both) would run beyond him with Tav and Barisic using the space out wide. I never really expected us to sign players where we’d use wingers (and it doesn’t look like he has), but it relies on your full backs providing that width and using the ball well.

It would have necessitated having enough quality play in our box to prompt a challenge, clean or dirty, that Collum could have pointed for. Unfortunately they didn't get near it. The SFA's corruption has not yet stooped to awarding penalties for fouls in the centre circle.
AJF
I thought the Goldson incident was one of those ones that wouldn’t have been turned over by VAR whatever way the ref called it so no complaints it wasn’t given really. Would’ve been soft.
deadasdillinger
Went a nice walk in the sunshine with my family. Wee man had his Killie top on. There were mutants with Rangers tops on everywhere. They were all greeted with a very wide, very pleasant smile. Nice to wish a passing stranger a pleasant Sunday.

McInnes seems to have done a decent job this transfer window. If they can keep most of their first choice players fit, they could have a decent season. You've changed man.
