Clyde v The Bloo Toon

Recommended Posts

That was actually alright in a few spells but over the piece you can see how deficient we are. It's not really sustainable having a right-back who needs support in every single defensive situation and Carswell looks completely done in the middle; with Scullion in there we'd be far more competitive. Good goal that we scored but after that short early spell we've barely threatened.

We started brightly but haven't kept the ball at all since the first 15-20 minutes. Once Peterhead settled they've been comfortable without being brilliant.

Mulvanny offers nothing up front except headless chicken running, he's not even clever about when to chase things. Scullion did well to create the goal but offers nothing when we don't have it as well as giving the ball away too easily when we do. I hope Carswell still isn't fit as that half completely passed him by.

Pathetic stuff really with P’head’s antics only really masking another insipid display. We’ll be a better team with Ray Grant, Leslie, Liam Scullion and Rennie back in it but the squad is just so devoid of quality at the minute. Desperately need movement on the player front.

Didn't even create a half chance in the whole second half. Absolutely pathetic.

You obviously missed the throw-in against the post.

Plenty of effort, absolutely no attacking quality. The boy Duncan is another one from the Hendji school of guys that are noticeably miles away from this level in terms of their touch and vision.

Positives; Dunachie, the return of a couple of more experienced players and McCulloch actually settled down well second half.

Well that was all rather easy after Clyde took the lead thought the boy that whipped in the cross looked decent and then decided he didn't want to take part anymore because he did nothing after that.Couple of really good moves for our goals and the 2nd half was played at training park speed with Clyde offering nothing (apart from the throw in) and our players quite happy to play keep ball. Then 5 minutes of madness with the big Slovakian defender going right through shanksy and shanksy being stupid enough to kick out at him that warranted the straight red.Apart from that another 3 points in the bag

Ignoring any defensive fragilities from our end, the cross and finish for the equaliser was actually quite pleasing on the eye.

Had a close ear/eye on McLean today given it has been a bone of contention. He was certainly animated/frustrated enough.

Well a big well done McLean for shouting some frustrations for the first time. He must be unleashed following Duffy's sacking. Who knows maybe next week he might even bring a team with the ability to create a chance when chasing a game. Pathetic

We look a wee bit tired but did not let gifting Clyde a early goal get to us, got the game under control by half time and in general  kept the ball pretty well. Clyde put up more of a fight than expected by previous accounts of their support, even the Clyde manager seemed to be up for it giving his team plenty from the dugout. Pity Shanks had to retaliate to yet another mauling leaves us a bit short up front.

If breathing on a Peterhead player causes them to go down clutching their knee for two minutes, I'd expect any "mauling" of to result in the player's death or at minimum, full body paralysis

Boo hoo. Lets have a rendition of the Hallelujah Chorus for the Clyde 'angels' who managed 13 fouls against our 4.

Wouldn’t really say that’s any indication of dirtiness of our team. To be fouled, you generally have to be on the ball for longer than about three seconds at a time which is not something we managed very often.

It should be common knowledge that Kirkland gives freekicks for everything. Last season he booked a Clyde player for being headed in the back of the head.

We only have ourselves to blame for not taking advantage of it ourselves.
