I have a notion that it’ll be Scott Parker. He and Souness were close at Newcastle and if Souness is, as is being reported is involved in the process, that’s his man.

Parker's as thin skinned as they come. Banter years redux if he's appointed.

When was the last time the (non Yogi) winner of one of these next manager polls actually get the job ?

Dont know but Steve Davis the snooker player should still be a good shout considering the rangers are pretty snookered at the moment.

Aye, they need some sort of big break.

Pre match team talks would be interesting.

Parker and Beale are best mates

Looking like it's going to be Clement or Muscat, unless someone else comes out of left field (I've seen Glasner's name mentioned, but have no idea if there is anything substantial there)

Clement looks to have the better record of the two, but from the looks of it has always had a DoF to work with, so it will be interesting to see what we are doing in that regards.

I hated Muscat as a player, so my opinion of him as a manager may be tainted by that. He looks to have a decent record in Australia and Japan, but have no idea how that would translate over here.

The big issue for anyone coming in is that they need to work with the group of players that are currently there, and for the most part, have failed miserably under the last two managers.  Can anyone coming in manage to get a tune out if this squad? And there are quite a few of them that must know their time is up at Rangers as well.

He’s only really done well whenever he’s inherited a team… Usually it’s an Ange team.

When he’s had to build his own squad it’s never really went well.

That’s stretching the truth quite a bit. The Yokohama team he inherited from Ange finished 9th in the league that season.

Muscat has since signed over 20 players of his own and finished 2nd and 1st in the seasons since Ange left.

Basically ex currants spouting shite then, with zero knowledge or insight, just throwing names about 😆

It’s quite clearly going to be Clement.

What’s the link with John Eustace?  U remember he was linked with them as a player, constantly, and now as a manager, and I’m not quite sure why.

Not sure but if you find out what school he went to that might help. 😂

As a confirmed hater of Deadco and Sevco I do fear Clement the most of all the candidates. He seems like quite a solid, dependable appointment.

Must be tough though for a foreign manager to understand things on his first day at Ibrox. I don’t even just mean with the picture of the King on the wall but imagine turning up for your first meeting with the directors and they say “look you probably won’t believe this but see the financial part of this business it has absolutely nothing to do with the football club. They are completely unconnected in every way”.
