Edinburgh City v Kelty Match Thread

Recommended Posts

May as well start this - can't imagine much interest in this or the game itself (apparently there's another game in Edinburgh at 3pm on Saturday).

Mark Kerr in place as caretaker but no real indication he is a contender for the gig permanently. Based on performances the last few weeks I would have been confident of a win under Maybury but now he's been punted it's all a bit hard to predict. If we could avoid chucking away a 3 goal lead this time though that would be grand.

We've got to win eventually (well not really but we probably will) so may as well be this weekend. 2-1 City, Shanely and Handling.

I haven't got much expectation for this one.   Mark's got previous managerial experience and been with the club for quite some time and knows the players really well, so hopefully should be a competitive game.

Obviously not looking forward to seeing Tiwi Daramola again after all the problems he caused us during the league cup game.

Yep I'll be there but the weather looks like even the 4G Pitch could be a quagmire.

A City win and a Cove/Annan draw would at least keep us in touch.

The email to the membership did imply that a managerial appointment would happen within the week which maybe counts out Mark Kerr.

Reminder:

Home fans now enter from the east side of the ground.

Season ticket section is now next to hospitality.   It starts just before the half way line and runs back along the 2nd and 3rd rows towards the back entrance of the sports centre.  All of those seats have a large ‘Season Ticket Holder’ sticker on the back rest, although you might need to pull the seat down a bit to see it.

Our bogey team last season but with a good comeback in the cup and both teams will have added to squad by then who knows how this one will go , Oware a big miss for us at the back but hopefully Bavidge and CJ continue their high pressing from the front like last week , Daramola not seen a lot of minutes recently after dip in form  but could this be the game to make a stake for a starting position ??

I think we can rule out Mark Kerr for the managers gig then! Looked miles off it, totally bereft of any confidence from the last 2 weeks and poorer than we've been under Maybury. Rumours the new manager will be in place soon. Aim needs to be somehow getting to 9th and surviving via the playoffs.
