2426255 Posted June 6 Share Posted June 6 (edited) Clarke said after the Gibraltar game he wanted to look at the back-4 from up in the stands not so much for the Euros games, but with a view to future games later down the line which makes me wonder if he is considering relying less on the Tierney/Robertson dynamic going forward after the Euros. Perhaps with Robertson getting a little older now and Tierney not entirely reliable then it might be a case of managing their minutes in the future during the Nations League or even WC-2026 qualifying. Quote It was more about the shape of the team because I changed to a back-4 and we normally go with a back-3 or a back-5 if you like, but it was just to see how we shaped up on the pitch. Where there might be spaces, obviously you’re playing against a really deep block. To look upstairs was probably not for the games in Germany, but hopefully I’m still the head coach going forward after Germany and it was a little bit more just to have an idea.
