Agree, a week ago it was 3 million, then it jumped to 10 now 20.

This is copied from another forum a week or so ago, not sure the source. I really hope they stomp on the touts.

According to UEFA competition director Martin Kallen, the demand for tickets for the 2024 European Football Championship in Germany is “huge”.

The EM organizers also received millions of invalid inquiries in the first sales phase, which runs until October 26th. “We have a problem that computer bots are working for the black market today, millions come in and we are trying to eliminate them,” said Kallen, who spoke of a total of “over 100 million requests,” on Friday (October 20th, 2023). ) during a discussion at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

If there is too much demand, a lottery will be held

In the first phase, over 1.2 million tickets will be offered for the tournament (June 14th to July 14th). “We will certainly have between ten and twelve million inquiries,” said Kallen. If the demand exceeds the supply for a game, a lottery is held.

Article is behind a paywall so haven’t had the chance to read anything other than the headline - even that’s a bit dramatic. Wouldn’t describe it as a scramble, it’s a good allocation.

Not worth reading tbh.

Mail Sport understands all 24 of the qualifiers for next summer’s finals - including larger nations such as hosts Germany and England - will be handed the same percentage of tickets for games, with the capacities at the grounds in Germany ranging from 42,000 to 70,000.

The official France Supporters Club have already issued a statement to their supporters warning that each association will be given an average of 9,500 tickets per match.”

No real new information in the article. 9500 is actually higher than 16% of the average stadium capacity which we thought it would be.

Really disappointed there isn't plan for a ticket swap between fans

Nothing to stop you if they have the same system as last time, and they're also setting up a resale hub after the final qualifiers are decided in March.

Ah, I had read yesterday that there was no plan for swap system being put in place. It would be the obvious thing to do considering it's a blind draw
