Largely because Glasgow would not know a decent fish supper if it came up and bit it on the arse. It's just occurred to me that there are people who have grown up eating from chippy's that were nowhere near the sea. Where the f**k do you go to eat it?

Where the f**k do you go to eat it? Eh? Fish and chips doesn’t mean angling whilst eating fried potato pieces. Unless I’ve been mistaken all these years.

There's been a lot of divisive issues discussed on P&B over the years but this could be the one that finally splits the forum into cans and cants. If you voted haddock then your a total cant. ^^^ Hasn’t seen the old ‘French Toast/Eggy Bread’ or ‘Balls In/Out When Peeing’ threads

Aye, it definitely tastes better when you're eating it with a two pronged wooden fork, stinking up your motor and looking at the sea through a steamed up window.

Where the f**k do you go to eat it? Good point. There's nothing quite like eating a fish supper at Riverside with the refreshing blast of freezing winds and the beauty of the Tay as random garbage floats by on its surface. I guess those folk not living by the sea just need to make do with sitting in their garden next to the bins and use their imagination.
Honest_Man#1
At the risk of being called a beast, I actually prefer breaded fish to battered these days. Crisper, far less greasy and so don’t feel quite as shit immediately after finishing.

A glaring omission from this poll IMO.

It was rubber, and awful. Very rarely do throw food in the bin, but that was one of those occasions. A place called Tooties in Keith, which I doubt is attributable to any coast. Are you banned from the Strathisla or something?

Also it is cooked to order. Had special haddock and a black pudding last night Edited November 19, 2023 by jagfox

Derry Alli
There's places selling breaded fish and calling it 'special'? Wait until the folks around there discover electricity.
