Oh I have wstched this team. Good in qualifying.Against England,France, Spain away. Absolutely gubbed.

Not good enough against top class opposition, which it will be next summer.

Normally aye. But unless Georgia score 2 (now 3) goals it doesn’t really matter.

Of course Dykes is ahead in the pecking order. It surprises me a bit given the relative importance of the game and the emphasis that often gets made on “rewarding” players who turn up without seeing much game time, as seen by giving Brown the opportunity to run about like a headless chicken for an hour.

In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter but it’s a minor talking point.
