peasy23
Every week somebody fucks up their clock management very badly. This week it was the Jags turn.
Boo Khaki
Playing a bottom-feeder in pouring rain, and you only give your high first round RB 7 total touches or something. No idea what has happened to Arthur Smith's brain.

That's entirely on Lawrence. Still early days yet, but he really hasn't lived up to the hype he generated in college.

Going back to this, Spanos would have to change the habit of a lifetime if the Chargers are going to hire any of those 3 names as Head Coach. He’s a notoriously cheap owner, which is why you always end up with the ‘exciting young coordinator’ type hires. Not to say that the whole Staley debacle won’t change his mind and make him realise that he should probably put some real cash into his next hire, but it just seems like the prospect of LAC paying $10m+ a year to anyone, even a top name like Harbaugh or Belichick, is very unlikely. My guess would be a Ben Johnson type hire to pair with Herbert, or if he’s totally burned out on the young coordinator thing, then a more affordable retread like Dan Quinn.

Todd_is_God
Steelers’ safety Damontae Kazee suspended for the remainder of the season. I'm genuinely not sure what the league expect him to do there tbh. His job is to prevent Pittman Jr completing the catch, not stand and watch then give him a wee tap to down him. WRs and QBs need to start protecting themselves again rather than relying on the rules to do so as they put themselves at risk. Diving full stretch to catch a pass shouldn't be treated like a Fair Catch.
Swarley
What a win. Now watch us lose to the Titans next week.

Not the first time either.
peasy23
I love Trent Williams. If it hadn't been for Deebo blocking Pickens style then CMC was off to the races here.

The pass that Dobbs threw that got Jefferson clobbered is exactly the sort of QB lunacy that I've been griping about on here. Tom Brady said he frequently refused to throw that sort of pass in favour of a check-down, because he came through in an era where you would have been slated for getting your players hurt, rather than the media slobbering over "acrobatic" catches. There are a lot of idiot DB's around, and reckless morons who still lead with the crown, but part of it is indeed the fact that QB's and WR's put the ball, and chase it, into places they never used to, for the exact reasons we saw on the Jefferson and Pittman plays.

Please, please hire Josh McDaniels.
