That might change as the week goes on, depending on ticket sales. Arbroath only announced on the day of the game that they were streaming last Wednesday.

What he said.  Whenever there is a stream it tends to be announced last minute to avoid people just buying that instead of a ticket to the game.  The only other thing that may be an issue is the QP v DU game being on the BBC.  There may be something in that deal that stops teams from streaming a game at the same time.

Another massive game for us. Hugely important for us to get the win with United playing a really poor Queens Park at the same time.

This is exactly the type of game we would’ve slipped up in previously but there genuinely seems to be something different this season. Ayr will be confident after a good win yesterday but if we play anywhere close to our best we should have too much for them.

After playing 6 of our last 7 games away from home (and winning all of them) it’s good to have a couple of home games. Hopefully get a good support in for both as the players deserve it.
Genuinely gutted that I’ll miss this game as I’m flying to Turkey on Friday morning but I’m sure some winter sun (hopefully) and all inclusive drinks (definitely) will make up for it a little. Will definitely find a way to watch it too.

I just remembered that I missed the earlier game at Somerset because  I was in Turkey then too.  If we win again on Friday, I'm more than happy for Rovers fans to club together to send me to Turkey again for the remaining games against Ayr 😎.

Spent a fantastic weekend in Ayr in October and think they're thoroughly good people through that way.

I'm not even kidding here: how do outsiders still think Ayr is great? What's the allure?

I always find it amusing too as I still hear it quite a lot. I mean, it's no Kilmarnock or Greenock, but I really don't get what Ayr has going for it.

Other places must be really really shite.

I used to work in Glasgow and people went on about Ayr as if it is some wonderful, mythical place.

I've only really ever been to Ayr for football (and it's a great way day) and for a day trip with the kids (the soft play is pretty good).  It seemed nice enough.

It is also the home of Scottish Bowls of course.  I'm fairly shite so am unlikely ever to qualify for the national championships but I'm also only 43 so you never know........

Look at how many people never visit “attractions” where they live. Ayr is, to an outsider, a relatively exotic locale…mundane as it might be. How many of the “tourist” attractions of your area of living have you visited?

A lot of people just base Ayr as shite due to the piss poor town centre.  However in reality 99% of town centres are crap and in all honesty, no one shops in shops anymore, this isn't an Ayr only problem.  Ayr and Ayrshire is great for golfers with so many good locations, places like Culzean, Burns Cottage/Centre/half decent racecourse/farm park which to us nobody cares about, but folk do come for it as where these folk come from don't have that sort of attraction.  Christ, even Drongan has an alpaca farm

The one thing that is absolutely true which you would not believe unless you regularly commuted (or were from Not-Ayr, where apparently everyone already knows this) is that Ayr has a markedly different climate. It's not just the famously fog-free Prestwick, but Ayr is genuinely warmer on average than the big smoke.

Allegedly there's somewhere in Dumfries that has this on steroids, to the point where you can grow palm trees.

Ayrton Senna is especially bad for this though. There isn't a high street in the country that's been as thoroughly ruined in the last twenty years.

My list of places to go when home for Christmas is now Dobbies for the Waitrose and fucking Drongan. God help us all.

The Golden Disc

Is that not the casino from Final Fantasy VII?

(edit to note: I genuinely think the first time I was in that puggies was two years ago. Though a million years ago I did boxing at the Wossobama up the lane.)
