A very annoying commentary which is solely focused on Juve and no credit given to Bologna and the densational season they have had - mainly with Ferguson as captain. They did talk a bit about Ferguson early on in the match, then about Hickey not making the Euros and how Scotland were unfortunate with injuries then Motta going to Juve. The commentary was irritating though, i totally agree with you. I hate it when they are always negative about the play, whoever it was doing the co-comms kept going on about bad tackles in the rain, when it wasn’t that bad honestly, he just slid across the ground. He kept slagging off Odgaard of Bologna as well, just because of a couple of mistakes.

For reference the awards are decided as such. The ranking for each category is determined through a weighted calculation elaborated by Ernst & Young, based on statistical reporting by Stats Perform and Opta Sports and supported by data tracking provided by Netco Sports.[1] The previous winner in the last couple of seasons have been. 22-23 Nicolo Barella who scored 6 goals. 21-22 Marcelo Brozovic a defensive midfielder who scored 2 goals. 20-21 Nicole Barella again, 3 goals Hes a young scot thriving abroad, so let's build him up rather than try and bring him down. The shortlist for the official Serie A midfielder of the year award which was being referred to above has been announced and Ferguson isn't on it - it's Koopmeiners (Atalanta), Calhanoglu (Inter) and Pulisic (AC Milan).

Each award has a completely different criteria to rank their player of the season it seems but when you look at past winners of both then it's a great achievement for Ferguson to win one of the awards. Midfielder of the Year - The ranking for each category is determined through a weighted calculation elaborated by Ernst & Young, based on statistical reporting by Stats Perform and Opta Sports and supported by data tracking provided by Netco Sports. Premio Bulgarelli Number 8 - The Bulgarelli Number 8 Award is an annual association football award given by the Associazione Bulgarelli and Italian Footballers' Association, with the support of FIFPRO, to the best midfielder of the previous calendar year.
craigkillie
Yes, that was the whole discussion at the time, but I thought it was worth revisiting since the shortlist for the official league award came out yesterday.
