QP vs Pars - Fri 5th Jan

Recommended Posts

That is a real downer of a result for the Pars there.

Well deserved win for Queen's Park.

Paton had a great game, shame the lino, robbed him of a double.

You really have to feel for James McPake...

Looked like a McJake in his hoodie and jaiket combo 😬

Not overly surprised. We were in a bad state before the game started, and find ourselves in a worse state after it. The fit players look fucked and confidence is shot. Thankfully not doing dry January...

There really isn’t any excuse for making an offside decision quite as bad as that…

Maybe the same guy that was running the line against United at Hampden a few weeks ago, who flagged about 15 times, including at least twice when first Watt then Mochrie was at least three yards inside?

Not this "should have had two goals" thing again.

If the first 'goal' had stood then it would have been a restart in the centre circle & the run of play would have completely changed from that point onwards.

Horrendous few days for Dunfermline.

Beaten by their derby rivals at home (4th on the spin)

Nationwide bad press for their section North West with a cowardly attack.

Beaten by bottom of the league who’ve not won in 15 / since August.

Injury crisis.

They have McPake as a manager.

Injuries or not, we’re far too soft to win championship games right now. We seem to lose every 50/50 and every high ball and we’re just making abysmal decisions.

Would genuinely say the same for most of the last 4/5 games. Against Raith, they won all of the battles. Against Arbroath, was the same until they got the red card. Against Ayr, was the same once they scored. It’s not good at the moment. Morale looks so low and there’s players clearly not fit enough to be out there, but having to play anyway. It’s hard to see how things improve without a decent number of new signings.

Queens Park deserved that win and 2-1 flattered us, in my opinion.
