He’d already sold it at the first

No_Problemo
IMO, there isn’t much the keeper or centre half can do about the cross at the first goal. It’s a perfect cross - the highlights will show better whether the keeper can do better from the shot. Syla seems to be getting a free pass, he was primarily at fault for both goals. Absolutely, I think we all do it at times but it can be very easy to look back at highlights and try and pinpoint very small defensive mistskes with the benefit of knowing how the bit of play unfolds. I don’t want to be too harsh on Syla either - he gave the ball away but that’s going to happen as well at times and he has been good recently.

Wardy
Vaughan’s touch from Rudden’s cross field is sublime, and the finish? Filth.

Basically one Raith player in the 18 yard box and the centre half picking up the one Raith forward is a good 10 yards from him, facing the wrong way and completely asleep. The keeper is rooted to his line, despite the defender being in completely in the wrong place. Absolute school boy stuff. Armatures would get bollocked for that kind of defending.

This angle is even worse He is the right side of Rudden He sees Rudden He completely loses the ball and the man. Within 2 seconds he has lost 5 yards on Rudden.

Beastie Russell
The minute McAllister was drafted into right back I thought we’d win. Think that’s 3 goals Ayr have conceded to us down their right hand side at Somerset Park. Were we their first the taking or just sitting in laughing at hoof ball and side ways passing going nowhere ? Ayr looked so much better at Starks Park under Bullen.
