Mid Table Kelty v High Flying Falkirk

Recommended Posts

Two quick freekicks taken and possession lost for Kelty, referee brings both back to be taken again. Not to mention booking MacIver for Thompson blocking the quick freekick.

The ref was shockingly bad, easily the worst since the last time we played Kelty. Just a series of quite incredibly incompetent decisions throughout the match.

On the game, Kelty came flying out the traps and caused us a lot of issues in the first 10-15 minutes. Bisland caught napping a few times, bailed out by Hogarth with a couple of really good saves and a vital flick from Donaldson diverting a rebound away from danger to keep the scores level. Felt after than we got a much better grip of the game and once we got the goal settled right down. Kelty's chances of getting something effectively disappeared as soon as they got the red card.

The introduction of Ross and Nesbitt in the second half gave a lot more quality than Agyeman and Oliver were offering. We were very wasteful in the final 3rd but overall a good performance and important 3 points.

Finally a massive GIRUY Tidser, his antics throughout the match topped off with his attempted defense of that thug Johnston was simply embarrassing

😆 gracious winners

A couple of observations about Tidser:

How did he avoid being booked today as guilty of two late professional fouls plus constant whinging to ref.

How did he manage to not get subbed given his legs were gone at half time & he was blowing big time in last 30 mins.

He does love a moan, no doubting that!

He's an asset in the team when we dominate the ball but can struggle when we don't.

Tremendous crowd from you guys today 👏

That was a rotten game to watch but another 3 points on the board. Thought the left sided winger for Kelty looked a threat the first half and was giving bisland real problems. Hogarth saved our bacon a couple of times throughout the game, fair play to him. There was no real stand outs for me either so would be quite happy to give Nicky the MOTM.

Didn't see what the red was for due to being at the wrong end of the terrace. After that Kelty seemed quite happy to sit in until the last 5 minutes before having a bit of a go which we dealt with really well.

Referee another absolute spud today. Slowed the game down whenever he could.

Michael Tidser spent most of the game in the downward dog position. Absolute fat ride

Glad to see Johnston get sent packing. In the first game all he was interested in was charging about acting the hard man until he hilariously shat himself from Tam Lang. A wee fanny of a guy.

Absolute tool of a guy.  Went flying in to Leon at the corner flag and pinned him round the throat (noted he picked on our smallest defender, not Coll or Tam, to act the hard man). A seething, heids-gone mess, Johnston clearly sees himself as the new Kallum Higginbotham.  Moronic, chip on shoulder behaviour, he did us a favour getting sent packing, as their attack all but disappeared second half.

It looked like he grabbed his neck and then round his face to slam him into the ground at the time. The highlights don't show quite how horrific it looked. Straight red card was absolutely correct and just stupid from him as the linesman had a clear as day view of it.
