Aberdeen v St Johnstone 28.2.24

Recommended Posts

Id be fairly susprised if we take 3 figures worth of fans to this.

Nobody wins here. 2 sets of fans about to waste hard earned money watching absolute shite as two managers collect a pay cheque, having some jokes with each other, and happily take a point each.

And there’ll still be multiple security and ticket checks plus around 3 stewards for every fan.

Another thread where both sets of fans on here say how shite their team is, how this will be a shit fest, how neither of our teams will score. Perhaps they’ll be right, or perhaps not…

Genuinely, though.

Andy Considine is arguably our best defender, despite his legs now being completely gone, if that helps you understand where we're at.

I’m sure sometimes folk say that kind of thing in exaggeration, but we’ve scored 17 goals in 27 league games this season.

0.63 goals per game.

THE LOWEST IN THE 4 SCOTTISH FOOTBALL LEAGUES.

LOWER THAN ANYONE IN THE TOP 5 LEAGUES IN ENGLAND.

Livingston have only won 3 matches this season, but have scored more.

I think you’ll find we have a right to say we are unlikely to score!

You scored one against us a couple of weeks ago, and it should have been two.

The second half that night was arguably the only decent half we’ve played since the winter break.

We’ve scored 3 goals in the 6 matches since.

It might be false memory but I can't remember a time, at least in the last 20 years, when St Johnstone were ever free scoring.

Well maybe apart one game at Pittodrie...

15/16 the last time, really.

58 goals scored, and 55 conceded, in the league that season.

As it stand last season (41 goals) will be the only time in the past 5 seasons we've averaged more than a goal a game.

24 goals scored in 21/22 might be beaten this year yet.

The season we did the double, (don’t know if you’ve heard about that achievement?), we scored 9 goals at home in the league.

I think that might be a record in the history of Scottish football for all divisions.

So yes, certainly for the last few years we’ve been a dreadful watch for those crazy types that like goals in their football matches.
